So, someone started a thread on the Aus Infinty FB group about Haqq which included a picture of Patrick Steward from the Dune film. Now I'm all thinking about painting an Fremen-themed Haqq force. I mean, wouldn't you?.... But I don't play Haqq and have only played against them once. So, if I were to put together a limit Insterion Haqq list of models that fit the Dune esthetic what kind of list would it be? All suggestions welcome.
I'm not sure if you'll be able to create a whole list of models fitting the aesthetics, but the closest thing would be the Hassassins - coats and full face masks galore. Especially should you use Brawlers as Ghulam proxies.
I'm reading Dune right now :p Mmm Nothing that it has not their skin well covered. Sorry odalisques. Sorry Kums. And only models with their head covered: Helmet, hood, turbans, etc. So no mutthawiah or gulam if not converted. We can aacept few exceptions like Saladino. Nothing bigger than S2. Assassin Ayars are models that fit quite well the theme IMO. Also Tuaregs, zayhedans, Bashi bazouks (without wings)
Limited insertion with khawarij, Tuaregs, a hunzakut, Ayyar, and whatever else you want to throw in would be a fun glass-cannon approach. I often run something similar when I’m not trying too hard to win. Maggy is always a blast and you can just pretend it’s Shai-Hulud.
Actually, I think RTF is the way to go. Khawarij and Tuareg's have turbans and trenchcoats, Zhayedan add to the coats as well. Khawarij, Zhayedan, and Hekim are also all masked. Maggie as Shai-Hulud is a great idea.
Thanks guys. Looks like vanilla might be the way to go if there are likely units in in Hassassins and RTF. I'll come up with a possible list and post it here for critique.
Keep in mind that we still don't really know much about RTF. I would hold off on purchases, but vanilla will be the easiest to visualize current-state.

I've been thinking of doing the same since I saw your reddit post. I'm thinking anyone in cloak/facemask will get Fremen colors while Ghulams and other open face units will be House Atreides green/black.
I've always liked the old fluff for them. Their stealth capabilities are left vague because they want you to think it could be the advanced technology given or their superb skills that were gained whilst trekking the deserts.
