It's a bit tricky with Deadalus being a latin name, so I suppose the plural would be Daedali (?), but the important thing about apostrophes, iirc, is that they are never indicative of a plural, only of the possessive.

Sure, this is according to the conventions of English, not Latin. I don’t speak Latin, so I make no claims as to how that name would be pluralized or modified to show possession in a piece of Latin text.

Fair enough, It wasn't supposed to be a jab at you. I generally agree with the way you formed those possessives :)

The thing I hate most above all on this forum is the is spam in the news threads. Call me autistic but turning each news thread into 30 pages with 20 pages about fried chicken gets right up me.

Yes I am aware that I am also posting off topic.

I would take 10000 off topic posts before another thread in the faction subforum with a single list and no additional comments beyond "is this good".

For a second I thought you had created new characters for some 90s Star Wars EU novels.

    It's Greek. Ancient Greek, specifically.

You made me look stuff up. So yes, it is the Latinized version of the name, and the Latinized version is most often the way Greek names are written in English. Sokrates becomes Socrates, Achilleus becomes Achilles.

based on previous experience, can someone tell me if the full package (spiral corps/exclu + daedalus /exclu + saito) will be made available for local store ?

Also, will it be like Uprising, when people who buy from CB store were delivered at the same time as the local store or will it be like coldfront when many who pre-ordered from CB store received their boxes after it reached the local store shelves ? Any official word from CB @Koni ?

No, it wasn't. Last year you got the extra mini for the Uprising only via the CB Store.

This time, the limited miniature will be available for all distributors and stores, so yeah, your local stores will have the chance to get Saito.

And regarding my second question ? Will direct order on your webstore treated with the same priority as distributors orders (like uprising) or with lower priority with a later delivery (like Coldfront and Third Offensive) ?

I would like to know which option will result in the fastest "book in my hand" result

Also, is Saito guaranteed to receive a non-limited release later on?

From what they've said before the early shipping of Uprising was in hindsight viewed as a mistake. I'd expect the pattern from 3rdO and Coldfront to stay.

There might not be much in it depending on the distributor involved and their turnaround between receiving the product from CB and shipping it out, especially if your order is through an FLGS and not direct from a distributor (I know one US distributor also managed to delay/lose the Libertos figures).

We've all been asking the wrong question about the title of the new book. It's not about whether the possessive is correct or not. The question is why didn't CB use an attributive?

I think that by calling the new expansion "Daedalus Fall" they were attempting to make it sound all cool and mysterious. Perhaps it was an attempt to connect with a younger audience who (if the state of their text messaging is anything to go by) care little for any accepted conventions of spelling, grammar, punctuation or sentence construction.

The mysterious title certainly imbued me with a sense of curiosity. Upon reading the title I was curious to know who or what on earth a Daedalus was, and how exactly he, she or it fell over. Was I missing the point entirely and Daedalus was actually something to do with a North American Autumn?

The whole thing was a bit of a mystery particularly as the previously mooted book title had been Acheron falls. As in Falls with a big old S at the end of the word.

I feel that all this fuss could have been avoided if they had have simply called it "The Fall of the Daedalus Gate".

I know that this title sounds a little clunky and descriptive and not nearly as snazzy as "Daedalus Fall" however it is a title that would have dispelled any ambiguity as to what the hell it was all about, as well as avoiding any apostrophe related sillyness.
