Odd little rules question; the Predator highly classified objective needs you to kill 'enemy troopers in close combat'.

Does this mean 'enemy troopers that are in close combat', or 'enemy troopers, using close combat attacks'?

E.g. last night a Lui Xing fired a spitfire into a close combat between a Gaki and a Zencha, killing the Gaki. The Gaki was an enemy trooper in close combat, and the Lui Xing killed it. Did this contribute scoring toward the classified?

I'm fairly certain it's intended to require kills w/ CC attacks.

I'm inclined to agree, but if that was the case they really chose language that pretty unambiguously says something else.

On a personal note I'd also find it interesting for factions without CC experts to have a different way of doing the objective, but that's neither here nor there in terms of a ruling.

You can just cc attack unconscious models. I do that half the time anyway, and both my factions have cc specialists.
