The "thing" in the front looks like some king of new Kauuri. Looking at the side of the box, there are three of them inside. The big guy in the back might be our first Chaksa HI (nice!). The gal looks like some king of infiltrator. The other two guys might be some MI that link with the new Kaauri. Those guys remind me of the Kerail Preceptors. There is a hooded guy that reminds me of the Kotail, but I'm not sure. And finally we have the Hatail/Katail (I'm not sure) Spec-Ops.
Those middle 2 tohaa are both wearing robes (but different robes and looks like only the one on the left is in any kind of armour), 2 new troop types? Priestly Koraataa discipline users? Agreed on big dude: has to be a chaksa, it has the chaksa toes. The sniper on the right looks a lot like a gao rael to me: sniper with symbio armour a hood and a mask? Dude on the left with a knife and t shirt...? beats me again kerail preceptors have a similar shirt but they have one heavily armoured sleeve, and thats not present. Weird thing in the front is clearly the EI in person, obeying its new tohaa masters.
Very cool mini. My wallet cries but from its despair I will gain strength to fight the enemies of the tohaa race. If they drop at the same time as RTF I'll have a serious problem though lol One can only paint so much minis
That big blade guy looks like someone took Avatar model, slapped some soft plates and buckles on it because Tohaa and told painters to paint it in some eye-searing colours.
There has been several comparision shots with the Taskmaster, and they both look very similar. A somewhat boring design, I expected something more "interesting". The other problem that I have with the box is that they have chosen to resculpt the Hatail Spec-Ops and put it in the box as a "gift". Why would I want something that I can already buy in a single blister if I want to? We can only hope that's the only resculpt in the box.
Well, the point of those "special availability" models, be it limited stuff or some book-sellers, is that they are unique and relatively rare, collector things. What they represent specifically is secondary concern here. In a sense, that's for the better. It would be worse if CB sculpted a model and proceeded to treat it as profile covered by their model range even though it's locked behind significant paywall.
The USAriadna Armybox included the dismounted Maverick model, which didn't exist. The JSA Armybox included the Kaizoku Spec-Ops model, which didn't exist. The Spiral Corps Armybox will include the Hatail Spec-Ops model, which currently exists and can be currently bought in a blister (that also comes with an aditional weapon sprue). That's my complaint.
