I’ve heard a lot of great things, and the stat line looks sweet.

Has anyone taken this guy with Haqqislam or any of our sectorials? How was it? Any specific ways you supported it or took the most advantage of bringing him?

Was the SWC cost worth it?

Why are you asking for him? He isn't available for any of our sectroials so far...nor for Vanilla, as far as Army builder says.
That being said, I have used him with my Corregidor, and indeed his track record is good. He's very fast, extremally mobile combatants, and quite resilient at that.
What he really can't do, however, is win a FtF firefight, except by rolling smoke grenades around.

As for support, he definitely benefits from having a decent doctor holding his back, and a good Order reserve.
Having a MSV L2 to see through the smoke is a god idea, too.

    McMurrough has no SWC cost...

@Errhile Using Soldiers of Fortune Option in Infinity Army costs you 1 SWC and lets you use Mercenaries from all over the Human Sphere. ☺ It's sometimes a good way to get abilities you do not have - like a superjumping, head smashing, 2 wounds Dogwarrior ☺

I haven't played smartdogo myself but I've faced him a couple of times and he's quite powerfull. With enough orders, he's more effective than a kum biker because he have better mobility. Also, he has arguably the best Templar weapon in the game and paired with his total inmunity, can face simillar foes without worriying too much. The 1 SWC it's not a big deal in Haqq. So... use him you won't regret it.

Anyone have ideas for a good proxy? I have a very strong suspicion I’ll be using him in an upcoming sectorial.

EDIT: I’m just really not a fan of the whole manimal/fury vibe, so I’m looking for something different. Any thoughts on a rebased Domovoi from outrage?

I don't think any rebase of Domovoi would look beliveable as S6.
Use Tarik as a proxy :P just remember there is a twin Chain Rifle rather than Spitfire...

Good call. I think I have an extra AP Rifle Tarik and an old Ariadnan model wielding 2 chain-rifles ...

I'm always open to other ideas though!

Depending on what aesthetic you want and how much converting you like to do, you could use something like a gecko as a base for a big chunky rem or power armor look. Tikbalangs are much sleeker and very pan-o looking but are also S6.

Does anyone have the actual model/know if the head is separate?

If I could headswap and remove the tail, that might be enough.

Wait, tail? The geckos don’t have tails. Iguanas do. Or are you asking about the McMurrough fig?

What's the problem? Just file it off outright and glue a proper one in place :)

As a Corregidor player: McMurrough always kills more than his share of points or dies like a chump in open ground. Even when he fails hilariously he's fun to play.

Mind that impetuous order, more than once he's leapt a building and eaten 8+ AROs.

I've only ever used him in conjunction with other Cameronian models in CHA, but frankly theyre amazing and if you can them across the board they always kill more than their own points cost.

McMuders selling point is he's also effective against armour.

I could see him working well in Haqq, but yeah, keeping him safe in his journey up the board will take some planning.
