@Camden Leisure Pirate I often use Milliput to make my own bases - a box of Milliput standard is cheap, going at 8 CAD at my local store. It's a kneadable modelling putty, and I just shape it with a dental pick I have after that. If you have one of those texture rollers, you can imprint a texture on it by rolling over it too. They look a bit like this when they're dying, after I have sculpted and textured them:

And once they're done and painted I add some cheap PVA+water+flocking Moss, and some black wash helps tie it all together.

As long as you're satisfied with the results! I totally get you though. Milliput has a 1 hour semi-drying time before it is firm enough to be worked with without spilling. Oftentimes I go "I'll make 3 bases today..." and for the next 3 days no bases are made. I eventually do it though!

Quick brush job, added some holes cause that's what plated floors look like no? Haha room for refinement but happy it will make my VIRD pop a bit more.

If it's stupid but it works, it's not stupid.

    And that totally works!

Clear acrylic bases work fine, you just need a very flat attachment point (to maximize area glued) and a little tiny bit of superglue (lots less than you think if you got the attachment point flat, it will minimize fogging). I've made 12x TO Camo markers and 6x holoechoes (2x sets of 3) using the clear plastic models from the Sedition Wars KS and acrylic bases. I used the custom token maker to print off a crapton of markers and used gloss acrylic medium to attach the paper markers to the bottom of the base. And I'm going to use clear acrylic bases for my Nomads, as every model in that collection has zero gee and will look slightly 'floating'.

@Camden Leisure Pirate Love your work so far. The Pattsy Bolt is a great looking model. Makes me want to buy more medic bolts for conversions.

Thanks, I think it's a nice easy proxy mini but the sculpt will be amazing, I can't wait for that. I've almost finished Bipandra now so hopefully by the end of next week I should have all the fusilier elements done, terrain details have arrived now so should get some of that ready for paint soon too!

Going as far as modding Itachi or others into the force? Because that'd be awesome

That's only a test mini so I'm not sure what I will carry over to full production, think I'd like the minions a bit darker, character wise probably just base some schemes, facial tatoos and hair ect, I will do limited sculpting to help that carry if it makes sense, I haven't got my hands on any special character sculpts or specialists except starter box stuff yet but I'm sure certain ones will lend themselves to the concept, any suggestions welcome!
