1. I'd like a re-work of how they do the Seed Soldiers and the Seed Embryo rules. Right now they suck. They need more weapons to support the rest and need some more specialists like Hacker, or a Lt. 2. I'd like some more specialists. Like Aswang FO and/or Hacker. Noctifer FO, Gwailo FO 3. I think every one of them should have Protheon Level 1 which would give them also Stealth, Courage, and Surprise Attack which only works if coming out of Camo. If not Protheon then at least every one of them should have Stealth. It's what the Shasvastii are all about!
More viable Lt. options More fireteams. Right now Gwailos are the only useful one Bioimmunity pretty much across the board Access to more surprise tech - Decoys are a given, but Holo2 wouldn't be out of place HI. IA showed us how new "HI lite" can be done, I'm expecting at least one such unit in SEF Reworked Seed-Embryos (or just doing away with Embryos for simplicity's sake and giving SS's Limited Camo)
Ideally: a full rebuild, especially of a lot of their models that are just kind of generic. Shasvastii are a great opportunity to do stuff that's off-kilter of the traditional. But failing that I'll take a rework of the seed- and spawn-embyro rules to make them functional in the current edition and meta. And also for speculo agents to be good. Please be good.
I'm not sure how much you were thinking to take from that, but pseudo-2W models would make the shasvastii skill useless as they never go unconscious. It'd be an interesting trade-off, but a trooper like that better not be paying for the skill.
I want new 6+ legged TAGs that look totally different to what is currently available in Infinity. 4 legs is probably ok if done right. Something to really set them apart from other factions. They can even split off from the EI if that's what it takes.
Shasvastii skill isn't probably too expensive, so we're looking at what, 2-3 pts overcharge? And we would still have the choice of activating NWI or going Embryo for the points, depending on the situation.
Skills that I think are very “Shasvastii” Regeneration Meta-Chemistry L1 & 2 Bioimmunity Stealth Multiterrain Forward Deployment Climbing Plus
I'm not sure about Metachem, Shasvaasti seem more deliberate in the genegineering as opposed to the "pump then full of drugs and see what happens" approach Metachem usually represents.
It could be like they gene engineer themselves for mission or something. Different from chemical drugs but same result. For Equipment Mimetisim and ODD!!!
We'll be getting something soon at least. Adepticon is in exactly 4 weeks. We usually get news of at least what's going to be an exclusive and/or pre-sale item. Outrage was 2017 and last year was Uprising. We would get news about 2 weeks before.
Besides the reworking of various units, I would like to see some different ammo types and if I can build the army without having to rely on the strength of a link team that would grand. Oh and Hi, sensor or msv for cards would be nice.
I would like to see some more viable link teams. Currently Gwailos are the only semi viable link and to be honest they are not that great. The Haiduk could do with a rework although simply dropping his points would make him a little more viable. Perhaps it is time for the Shas to get a heavy infantry option. I know that they have not had one for themey reasons but it has always struck me as odd that a race obsessed with survival at all cost goes into battle not wearing proper protective gear. I would love to see more cc dedicated troops perhaps with camo and protheon. The seed rule is terrible and has been since the inception of the Shas. I love the idea of seeds but at the end of the day the seed rule makes troops with it very inefficient without giving any real benefit to offset the cost in order tokens they represent. Some viral weapons or more ranged monofilament weapons would be nice. Perhaps a monofilament lgl load out. I have found that the Shas lack good long range attacking pieces like hmg's and often rely on Q drones to fill this role. A linkable hmg would be a welcome addition.
As I've said, I fully expect SEF to get a new HI, probably similar to light IA designs. It might fill that "long range heavy hitter" role. Haiduk... I think he really lacks tools to be the sniper master he deserves to be. SMSR is nice, but Smart weapons are unwieldy in general, and Shas lack the tools to paint the target properly. What I'd love to see is 1) Haiduk getting more skills that would make it viable in the direct sniping role - Marksmanship, Limited Camo - MSV would be nice but would also make it too similar to Nikoul, I think - and 2) more ways for SEF to put enemy troopers in Targeted state. Equipment similar to Tohaa SymbioBugs - Perimeter Weapon that marks the target, but doesn't cause a wound - would be a very Shas thing. And I'm very curious what will happen with Caliban.
I'd like to see a decent linkable line-troop that wasn't made of overpriced jank. I'd like a rework of the Seed-Embryo rules, because currently they're a clusterf that doesn't work in N3. I'd like all those Automedkits replaced with Regeneration so we don't have to content with the crappy PH of most shas and the fact none of them are immune to shock. But that's just getting into wishlisting now.
