    So! Many! Buckles!

So, I picked up an Igao, 'cos they're really nice, and had a go at Tohaa. With the armour on the Igao looking so much like an exoskeleton of some wierd creature thought it'd be cool to do the whole 'living armour' thing with bone for the hardened bits and the undersuit in a red/purple flayed look. It seems to fit with the whole Raacno symbiote image (yeah, I know Igao don't wear symbiote armour but it was cool so I went with it).

It really needs more pseudo-muscle definition on the thighs like how the arms are done but overall fairly happy with it as a test scheme. May go better on a model that actually has symbiote armour. The whole ribs and spine look, though, yeah - happy with that.

@Jashyr As someone who like the look of bio-armor (bone, muscle, etc...) I think you did an amazing job. What colors did you use to make both the bone and muscle?

    Hi @Golem2God

Glad you like it. I did white primer over the entire model then a thin wash of GW Rhinox Hide in all the shaded recesses. Then the following:

    The bone plates were:
Base: P3 Menoth Base + GW Karak Stone.
Layer: P3 Menoth Highlight + GW Ushabti Bone
Highlight: add white to the previous mix
Final Highlight: add even more white to the previous mix

    The undersuit was:
Base: P3 Sanguine Base + GW Screamer Pink.
Layer: add P3 Sanguine Highlight to the previous mix
    Highlight: P3 Sanguine Highlight
Next Highlight: P3 Sanguine Highlight + GW Ushabti Bone
Final Highlight: add more Ushabti Bone to the previous mix

:flushed: I may possibly be one of those people who has entire notebooks of colour schemes and the colours used to make them up. And more paint than is probably healthy.

This habit of yours is a good thing most people (including myself) don't take the time to write their color recipes down and just try to remember them from mental memory.

You are right. It is very similar to Menoth's color and the fact that Sanguine Base & Menoth Base were used as the main colorsmakes it even more apparent. Good thing I have Menoth Highlight and Sanguine Base in my collection. Maybe I can recreate something like this?

Yep, the Menoth scheme paints are an awesome combo and are certainly worth giving a go. Looking forward to seeing what you can do with it.
