I like the new minis. Rosie is probably part of the coming dire foes box. Are there any pics of the other minis in this box?
This is what we have for models. Only art of the HVT so far. All this is up on WGC Infinity Facebook group and came from the LVO seminar.
@Chaotic Neutral @Cry of the Wind Any chance of links to where you got the pictures from? I would love to see the full selection of pics.
As mentioned in my post they are all from LVO and posted by the admin of the WGC Infinity group. It is a closed group that you have to apply to get in (just answer 3 questions that basically are reminding you that you are joining a table top gaming group) and wait for an admin to approve you. Was same day turnaround for me. Link below (I assume that will link correctly, let me know if there is any issue). https://www.facebook.com/groups/WGCInfinity/
I always have a hard time judging models from the dossier art or renders. I will have no real opinion until I see photos of the actual painted model, but the belt fed HMG is a cool concept at least.
Normally I agree but with the first Blackjack as a precedent I'm sure this one will be fine too. It just looks bad ass firearms discipline aside! I'm really curious to see the Wardriver model and paint job, given how different the art and model can be (just look at Rosie for example) I have no idea how that one is going to turn out. I'm hoping its as cool as the picture as I love Infinity for the models over any other factor (good game too but my attention is divided and certain elements of Infinity tick me off yet I can't help but spend more money on it!).
Bostria said Rosie is based on Rosie the riverter. Engineer confirmed? I agree. If he was holding it in his hand I would be all for it.
I wish CB would pay a bit more attention to real military posturing and weapon handling. Models would look better that way because it would look more real to us. In the case of the BJ however, i can imagine that maybe 175 years in the future, the bipod of is designed to be leaned on by a giant heavy infantry armor. Who knows. I like how badass the long ammo belt looks.
Well, that Blackjack is a little better looking to me than the Sniper version. I still have a problem with the design and the spacing of the shoulders on it though. Still too wide to have actual meat in the arms. It looks like the HMG can be re-posed in that right hand if you want to do that, but it will make storage a bitch for sure. Really looking forward to the Dire Foes box, as I play USARF and Combined/Onyx. That will be a good box. As far as Rosie being an Engineer with D-Charges? Hell yes I want that. ONE friggin model in the entire USAF with D-Charges or Engineer? Much suck. They really need some more Para profiles with Medic/Engineer/Combat Engineer (D-Charges) to help fill them out. Maybe even a Para Doctor (Pararescue) operator.
I was actually there and asked if Rosie was an engineer, to which the reply was that they couldn't remember (perhaps a last min change, one way or the other). She will almost certainly be a specialist, but a man can dream that she'll get engineer status just to vary things up (not that it really does a lot beyond the odd classified but hey!). Also, for what it's worth - isn't she just a perfect conversion for a Maverick LRL haha!
Yea, I was kind of thinking about the engineer. I would kind of prefer a doctor to another engineer. Outside of a traktor mul (which will likely not be able to take) and maybe some glue, what could she really fix :) However, I will take what I can get. Agreed on the LRL, I put you could do an arm swap with a foxtrot BS if you wanted to go shotgun and put those arms onto a female maverick.
I like the new USAriadna models, overall. I'll wait for actual pics of them before finally deciding whether or not to get them, particularly the Wardriver. While I'm guessing most of us have found a proxy or two to act as one by now, I'm glad we are getting a proper model for one.
