I'm glad it helped mate. Os is an incredible faction there's so much going on in here to exoediment with.
Dart: Dart is an incredibly versatile option that can be a threat in any matchup. The pseudo two wounds and camo state with fd2 is excellent. Smg's are so great and particularly great on her. The em grenade profile means dart is literally a threat to any model in the game. Against camo heavy her high bs msv1 and her own negative mods means she rips through one wound models. Against resilient targets the smg (ap) and e/m grenades means you can nullify whatever is giving you grief. On paper I adore her. Everything about her is efficient. In practice those extra four to seven points over a Naga hurt. And my anectdotal experience has left much to be desired. For whatever reason in my actual games she has failed spectacularly. I know it's an anomaly but it has happened so often that it's hard to separate that. I can see why she is amazing but my dart must have broken like a hundred mirrors or something...
I like your list on the first page. I've been building my lists in a similar way, as it seems like OS's biggest strength is taking a lot of very capable orders. I've been going for the Deva Lt. and the MSV Deva, allowing me to be flexible with my fireteams during deployment or in case of losses. I also really like the Garuda as an offensive piece. I'll admit, I've yet to play the Jumper LZ Aspara, but I love the versatility of the Danavas and laying Assisted Fire on the Dakinis or Garuda. Currently undefeated with this list, and really loving the power of this sectorial! 8/8 Orders ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 1 8 DEVA (Multispectral Visor L2) Spitfire, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. Hmm, then ive been playing it wrong. Still, the threat to TAGs is considerable and your opponent wont know which naga has monomines and which normal mines until said mines are deployed in ARO.
What I really like about Philamilapeed is how you only spent 298 points, but haven't bothered to upgrade your Deva Lt to be the one with Sensor. And then second CSU to be Specialist Operative Rifle+Light Shotgun. Or just upgrade the Dakini to Paramedic. Also, no idea why bring Posthuman Doctor and not Engineer given you have 6 REMs (with 4 SWC in them), while over half of your available W troops have Dogged or NWI. But hey, you do you.
When it comes to the Apsara with Jumper LZ, i'm not sure i'm sold on it, am i missing something? the Danavas hacker is capable of putting out the marksmanship level 2 supportware, and the Apsara is really only buffing the sniper dakini on the defense, and doing an inferior buffing (no shock, -1 BS) of the HMG on the offense. Especially considering the fact Danavas are not always in the same combat group as the link team so they're not really being denied an order, and all of this with the apsara clocking in at over 20pts However, i am quite a new player and i have not played many games with the Apsara so i'm willing to be convinced because i like the concept a lot
There's a few advantages to Apsara over Danavas: doesn't use an Order is active even if you are going second you can switch which Dakini is using the bonus on the fly gives Number 2 in case point-Dakini dies Apsara is not vulnerable to Hacking and provides useful Deployment Zone defence Danavas does come with 2 advantages: Provides other Hacking benefits (ability to give AD +3 on the roll, specialist, does participate in Hacking defence, White Noise) Pitcher (bad though it is) Of course, Danavas profile shouldn't exist as is, but I know people don't like to hear it so whatever. Run whatever fits better with your list.
What do you mean shouldn't exist as is? (I'm not very familiar with hackers in general and why they should/shouldnt exist)
Because Danavas profile basically makes sure that Deva Hacker profile (regular HD) has no reason whatsoever to exist, and only makes it clear that it is a bad profile. Furthermore, it steps on the toes of Asura HD+ profile, although that has been lessened now that Asura HD+ got MULTI Rifle and Lt2 to differentiate them. What they should've done, given the lore of Danavas, is make them a dangerous, extra cheap KHD. And improve Deva Hacker by giving it HD+ and removing Combi Rifle to decrease cost. But better I don't continue with this, it's an old, beaten horse by now :D
Woops, I recreated the list on my phone, and did it a bit too quick it seems. The Mk1 is an Engineer and Deva Lt has Sensor, but the BS CSU stays as is, I didn't upgrade him to a specialist because there's a few scenarios that you can get punished bringing too many squishy specialists. He's there just for DZ protection and a throw-away attacker (depending on his Metachem roll)
I think the apsara v hacker debate will go on forever. From a pure numbers pov the hacker is better. But half your games your opponent can punish you before you get the buff online. The no2 and being able to switch who gets the buff is excellent too. I have played both alot the difference if you go first isn't big but going second it feels quite big.
I love the danavas. The fact it has bts3 makes it feel about right too. Has alot of strengths but that BTS 3 is rough.
Tried Danavas as the data tracker and that extra irregular order comes very handy to use programms or through pitcher Can she go into impersonator mode if she is the data tracker? Im guessing not. Regarding Dart I have had some success with her. Still trying to figure out what are her limits (don’t ARO a Dogface/warrior...)
