My favourite fantasy about Bran: a pose enabling the player to really hang Bran on a wall! Propably by using Bran's tail.
I think the primary issue with the Lizard is just the paint job. It doesn't do a very good job of highlighting all the Nomad design cues in the model that make it obvious that its mostly just a giant Zond.
It was fine until we started to ask it to stand next to the the new Szalamandra. Now it feels off. I’m going to paint the minis I ordered and see if a new one is available by then or not.
Tin jaw Zoe has a tin jar (and apparently a total artificial/cyborg body). Maybe that'll give her STR instead of W. :D I'm indecisive whether I should go down the grumpy old man road and plainly hate both or if I shold try to like and buy them... in case of buying them there will be much converting needed and I'm lacking the old combi rifles ATM.
I love the new ones. So cool! I'd like a Kusinagi with Spitfire and new Bran though now CB. You have given me a taste for Nomad character resculpts!
To be fair, if you just painted the cyborg face bits the same as the skin it wouldn't look tin jaw, like she could afford the skin tone match package but not the seam-free one, kinda like the Aleph Deva miniatures.
It's the tin jaw design on the dossier, her being an artificial human, Pi-Well's totally generic posing and the new combi rifles. Everything else is actually fine... I think mainly I'm torn between wanting her and my utter refusal of buying stuff I already have :D Absolutely correct, no one (except Angel Giraldez) is forced to paint her in a certain way one doesn't like.
A Kusanagi resculpt would be great. I recently picked up the crouching/aiming Reverend Moiras miniature and built her, then put her next to the Kusanagi mini on my shelf... the Moiras makes Kusanagi look like a 10 year old! the scale looks way out. It's a shame, I love the sculpt on the Cassandra mini but she's not stacking up well against the newer models.
I feel gratified, because my Zoe already had a phantom of the opera style metal face. I will paint the new ones up and see what I think of them. It'll be hard to switch out Pi-Well... we've been through so much together.
It realy a shame - Zero's are such an important and iconic Nomads unit that they should have deserved a resculpt.
After getting a spitfire Riot Grrl (tho i may just convert), Zeros and Prowlers are top of the list for me. Got a metal Gata to make into a Bran or Zero, and i think Hexxer could make a good Custodier (the hood and mask seems pretty similar), but proper models would be better than counts-as right?
