I've been working up a conversion based on the mobility Joan with spitfire, with some arm swaps (possibly head swap) and creative use of green stuff. Still in the planning phase tho.
I'm waiting to get my HMG ORC in the mail to do my conversion. Going to give her Sword-Swingin' Joan's head and replace the HMG either with an Apsara SMG or a plastic Aristeia! Parvati SMG.
So here's my offering, first my get out clause... I don't have any other Orc troops in my list so the bolt looks more armoured than the Kamau (honest!), I haven't done anything that amazing other than make an smg... enjoy/destroy
Thanks for posting. I am thinking about doing something similar with that paramedic bolt and a spare spitfire...
Do it! I don't think anyone should worry too much, the effort could be obsolete any day, I actually wish this would nudge CB towards making a dedicated blister of conversion bits, I think they'd be surprised by it's selling power
Not happening. People have been after them for goddamned years to make things more accessible for conversions, and they went in the opposite direction towards making it more difficult. Remember: They don't want to make things easy for you. They want you to have to buy full kits to cut up, not have things easily attainable in a realistic pricepoint.
To be fair we did get a comment on the old forums on that. To the best of my memory weapon sprues aren't econonocial, because there are a lot of miscasts and it is a hazzle in general. Thus the new troops sharing bodies and havind larger individual parts is mostly a side effect from optimising the production process. Enabling the easiest possible conversions is not exactly Infinity's business model, so you'll have to find the weapon somewhere else take a saw and figure out what to do with the now one handed mini if you want your conversions to be economical.
And to the best of my memory, weren't we at the same time as those comments getting weapon sprues as tournament prizes?
Never heard of that before. The occasion I was refering to was post HSN3, so ITS winner packs were around and new Spec Op releases already didn't have weapon sprues.
Mmkay. Maybe I'm remembering earlier comments--I'm still calling bunk with any regards. Their go-to reasoning for why something can't be done is "it isn't economical". Extra arms in blisters or boxes? "It isn't economical! We'd have to raise prices by a lot!" Extra heads? "It isn't economical! We'd have to raise prices by a lot!"
@osoi Very nice. The male Orc arms fit the female body surprisingly well. Where did the head come from? Statuesque?
