    I can't, honestly, see the difference.

I mean - NA2 StarCo isn't functionally that much different to being a Nomad Sectorial. Primarily Corregidor, with a few non-corregidor add-ons, but then again Corregidor itself is a subset of Nomads with a few tweaks. I had Corregidor for years, so adapting my miniature collection to play StarCo wasn't that difficult.
Surely enough, Tohaa-flavoured NA2 is going to still include a lot of basic Tohaa models. With some spicing up with non-Tohaa ones (be them Human Sphere or Combined troops in origin. Or both).

    So why the alarm?
It is effectively the same as with most other sectorials compared to their parent vanilla faction... or isn't it?

I mean, if I'm wrong, please explain it to me, okay?

If you would play a faction that has no sectorial perhaps you would. It's not only to play with your current miniatures but to expand the overall fluff and fealing of them.

And a sectorial means you will get a bunch of new unit choices for your vanilla force too.

I'd be okay with that if they got the same update treatment that ASA got.

I can't really dispute with that, as Tohaa are, apparently, the only "vanilla faction" with no sectorials in the current state of the game. The last one with the same status was Aleph before Campaign: Paradiso.
And indeed among the 6 armies I currently do play, there are no Tohaa.

However, I'd like to point out that there are, currently, quite a few Sectorials that don't really have a parent vanilla faction: there's no "vanilla NA2", despite four (and soon to be more) sectorials being grouped under NA2 label. They are self-contained armies, and that's much how I perceive the Tohaa since their beginnings in C:P. They came with their own rules, and they had access to Fireteams since they showed up, which was considered a mark of a Sectorial Army back in the day.

AFAIK, save for very limited access to Fireteam: Duo (via EVO HD program, TeamPro), there is no other army considered vanilla to have access to Fireteams, save for Tohaa and their Triads.

Umm... if those units are specific to that faction. Among the sectorials, it is not unknown for them to have access to units that the main faction does not have access to (or has access only because Mercenaries are available to all vanilla armies as a blanket rule).

and I'm okay with this. It also means that NCA would receive the MRRF treatment, which they need

Not exactly the same thing. While G: Marionette models do behave like Core Fireteam, they are quite different from a Fireteam.
Starting with the entire Troupe going out if the Controller is neutralized - despite having Numer 2 skill.

Totally right, but in fluff terms they are no faction at all. They could have each their own "faction" and therefore it's more an logistical faction for Infinity Army and the statistic of CB.

That's the old argument. I can't hear it any longer. Perhaps CB made in the past a mistake to give Tohaa Triads, but Tohaa is a faction fluff wise.
In my opinion is it a mistake too that PanO has so much sectorials in the fluff and cut the air for the releases/suk for other factions.
But that are only opinions :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Tell me one new sectorial that haven't brought new units for their faction

Well, it was CB's design decision to give Tohaa their Triads. For good or bad.
I have overheard the complaints on the Tohaa side regading lack of new releases, and I can't say I find them baseless. But that's one thing.
Solving it by pressing new sectorial on the faction could be a solution, but would it be a good one?
And more important, would CB consider it to be a good one?

...also, what would be a solution have to be for CB to consider it a good one?

Well... is this the reason you want the Trihedron (if I'm not wrong about the name) to be a Tohaa sectorial rather than a NA2 one?

Alas, not playing any vanilla* I am not really feeling any gain in it getting new units. As I've mentioned before, given the number of units and the availablity of Fireteams, I'm perceiving Tohaa to be a sectorial-type army (despite being a faction on their own) rather than a vanilla one. Very, very similar to what JSA status is as of now: fluff-wise, a force of their own, but rules-wise, a sectorial (limited choice of troops, Fireteams available, no "vanilla" it would bleong to).

    * kinda-sorta, but that's not the point.

    Shasvastii/Tohaa at Gen Con!

Nothing wrong with us Tohaa players expecting big things. We have become accustom to disappointment.
