I haven't been able to find an answer to this... possibly because the question is so hard to explain that I can't find the right search terms to unearth existing answers.

The fusiliers Angus and Bipandra are standing against the wall of a building, a couple of inches apart. My Ghulam is just around the corner, only a few inches away from both of them.

I activate my Ghulam and declare move to peek around the corner. So the Ghulam and Angus can see each other. The Ghulam and Bipandra can't see each other because Angus is blocking LoF.

Angus declares BS attack. Bipandra can declare reset because the move happened in her ZoC, but she doesn't have any other ARO options because she has no LoF to the Ghulam. She has no reason to reset, so she declines to declare an ARO.

Now I declare BS attack against Angus with my light shotgun, catching Bipandra in the blast template. Normally she would be able to dodge at -3, but she has already foregone her ARO opportunity because she didn't reset when she had the chance.

Is that right? Or does Bipandra get to dodge?

Got it! Didn't realize change facing was a separate skill. Cheers!

in a situation when she cant declare CF due to a distance between her & ghulam, she will get ARO right in a moment she would hit by a teamplate, so in both cases she get her chancess to avoid shoot.
