As i was playing Kurage' 2nd Phase Firefight CQB version yesterday a scenario popped in my mind - one of the objectives is to kill LTs. What would happen in case of LT going unconscious in, lets say 1st or 2nd turn, passing his LT status to the CoC trooper and finishing game with the 1st LT still being unconscious? According to the Killing, he would be counted as Dead, but would he be counted as Dead LT if he wasnt killed during his time as LT? At first i tought "fair enough, he was LT and he was killed via Killing ruling" but now i wonder if that was right thinking. Bonus questions about things that i was never 100% sure about: - if CoC is listed in the Specialists paragraph, i can use it to accomplish objectives but thanks to the nature of this skill being a Private Information, if my opponent ask me why am i being able to use the Objective without any visible Specialist Profile i can politely answer that this unit meets the requirements (which would make it obvious that it is CoC) and carry on? - do you have to announce LoL to your opponent, at any time? I always tought that it is just a courtesy, "in case if you didnt notcied that bigass pool of irregular orders, i start this turn in LoL state because my LT is in the Null state". Either way, using CoC skill isnt publicly declared or it is?
More recent ITS rules and rules clarifications have started making a distinction of whether the LT was LT when they went down. Previously, and at the time of Kurage, LT was a plague that once it had touched a model the model remained a target through the entire game. Do note that Chain of Command activates after the trigger condition for scoring has occurred and remember that it is an Optional skill. CoC: Yup. It remains Private Information. Your opponent should be able to figure it out easily. I think Haidao's IA-only profile with CoC and the Tankhunters' CoC profile are the only CoC profiles which are not immediately obvious with a tiny bit of cross-faction knowledge that they are CoC, however, so this should be info that your opponent has already figured out. LoL: First of all, when a model enters Dead state you must reveal all Private Information about it. Second of all, any information that is not explicitly Private is Open Information. Your Loss of Lieutenant status is not explicitly Private so just like how many Combat Groups you have (regardless if there's any troops on the table for them), this is Open Information. Use of CoC isn't declared as it is a Private Information skill.
