alright time for a positive post. GMG just previewed the EB model with parrot, and i got to say I am loving it despite the tactical rubble. Something about it screams bad ass to me
Stolen from @Flipswitch I was initially disappointed by the lack of avian features on the WP, but I actually really like the deployable backpack design.
I love the EB, but I'm also biased. It took me a second to remember he's a Paramedic, which is hilarious since I've been using him in piles of games. The pose is good, and the armor + helm design is A+. I'm actually laughing that we asked for more Auxbots, and we're getting more Auxbot miniatures, even though the Parrot's rules are wildly different from the Auxbot rules. I kind of like that the Auxbot's uniball roller is getting applied to other PanO rules.
Im having flashbacks to the new HMG Swiss and his cc 15 sword that took center stage on arguably the best shooting unit of the game. He looks like a Orc on diet that graved one of the Kamau front pouches and forgot his job is flanking with BS13. That parrot is one strange bird. Sadly i will keep using the starter akalis, may use some spare antenas to fix the helmet and call it good.
I think the paint scheme might help here. The EB has a lot of flat space from his wetsuit/bodysuit that's really different from the PanO Heavy Infantry muscle bundles. I think he'll look more like Light Infantry with a different scheme.
I actually really enjoy that part, depending on size I might actually have to buy a few of these to use as magisters
Love it, can't wait to get my mitts on one. I really like the more angular armour as well, ties it to the Parrot quite nicely too. My Acontecimento Regular Hacker has been sporting a "not-BB-8" FastPanda for a while now.
I was trying to figure out what the Parrot reminded me of... It reminds me of No Face from Spirited Away.

Parrot was not what I was expecting, but it’s definitely appreciated. It’s no nonsense compared to Koalas, Pandas and Madtraps. Definitely function over form, very PanO in aesthetic, and I can see where it got the Parrot nickname from. Echo Bravo itself exudes a badass aura, I dig the helmet design and the pose is outstanding. Cannot wait to pick mine up!
