This Level of Holoprojector allows imitation of troopers available to the bearer's faction or Sectorial Army. May I imitate ANY trooper in my faction even if its not on in current army list and has the proper Silhouette?
Yeah, though that qualifying list can sometimes be short in a sectorial. The most popular trick is the Hafza HRL who looks like a Warcor.
Yes. That’s why it doesn’t say “if they’re in your army list” or anything else, just “available to the bearer’s faction or Sectorial Army”.
When I put a model on the table as Holoprojection 1. What information do I need to tell my opponent? The troop type and the load-out I am imitating?
Yes, all the open information of the troop you're imitating So if you were imitating a Ghulam Doctor, when you deploy the model you would tell your opponent that it was a Ghulam Doctor with rifle+lsg, medikit, pistol, knife, etc.
With the proxy rules being what they are, you can drop a Hafza on the table and say "I'm trying out a Ghulam Doctor: its armed with [not a HRL]." When you reveal it as a holoprojector, you can say "HA HA! IT WAS A HAFZA ALL ALONG!" and shot them with a HRL. This only works so many times until your opponent catches on to the fact that your Hafza model is actually, in fact, a Hafza. If you're proxying something that's already in your list, and you've played against your opponent before, you can always switch which one is the "real" profile. Just make sure you write down any proxies before the game, and tell your opponent the Open information on deployment. Example: written down on your private list, or someplace: Classified: Retroengineering Hafza Model-> Ghulam Doctor Ghulam Doctor model -> Hafza Holoprojector as Ghulam Doctor Al Fasid model -> Tarik Mansuri What you tell your opponent on deployment: *point at Hafza Model* this is proxying as a Ghulam Doctor *point at Ghulam Doctor Model* this is also a Doctor *point at Ghulam Sniper Model* This is a Ghulam with a regular sniper rifle *point at Al Fasid model* this is Proxying as Tarik Mansuri. He's big and the internet is afraid of him. *point at Aida Swanson* This is Aida: she has viral mines and SMGs. She's also a Shasvastii, which means she still counts for certain objectives even when she's unconscious in the "shasvastii" state. etc down the list...
You know what's probably good now is a Kanren KHD deployed as a Hulang. It's believable, the Hulang is strong enough to influence deployment, and god help anyone who tries to drop a repeater nearby trying to lock him down in ARO.
Or for shits and giggles, deploy your 8-point Libertos without using Limited Camo. Just remember that "faction or sectorial army" means that your Kanren can: * Pretend to be Sforza in ISS, but not in vanilla Yu Jing because Yu Jing is a faction to which Sforza doesn't belong * Pretend to be Hulang in vanilla, but not in ISS because ISS is a sectorial army to which Hulang doesn't belong.
