Hi, did someone removed paint from the Aristeia! plastic models and if so, what did you use?

I tried to paint Kozmo and I am not satisfied with the result. :(

I've used isopropyl alcohol to remove paint from Games Workshop plastic miniatures and it works wonders, it's quick (you just leave the minia to soak for 15-30 minutes and then remove the paint with an old toothbrush) and it does not damage the minia in any way. I've never tried it on CB plastic (excluding bases) but it should be very similar.

The other standard solution is to leave yìthe minia for a week in Simple Green.

If you can find it, Biostrip is amazing at getting paint off anything, including plastic. It can be hard to find outside of the UK though.

Well, since I had some of it at home I tried 70 % Isopropyl alcohol and it worked to remove my GW acrylics. Got rid of them after about 5 min (I didn't want to take any risk) and much toothbrushing. Didn't get into every corner of Kozmo, but I think little spots of color will not be so bad if I prime and paint it again.

For your information: The plastics surface got a bit of a soft white coating from the alcohol but the plastics are solid as before. I will keep the Prysm base in the alcohol till tomorrow night to check the effects but if used for removing paint quickly from your Aristeia! miniatures it seems to work pretty well.

I used AK-Interactive paint stripper. It's fabulous and doesn't affect the plastic

i have had success with 90% isopropyl alcohol. That stuff eats thru most primers, but won't damage plastic in the amount of time it takes to work. ( 10-20mins) i tried simple green and it just didn't have the same impact.
