My KB got some modifications for his CCW. Originally he was wielding a machete from a Taskmaster, but I changed it into a Kukri knife of Morlock. Before: After:
A while back I converted a Daiyokai with an octopus on his head. After helping a friend with a weapon swap on theirs, I decided that I wasn't satisfied with a pair of Katana, and needed up grade to a brace of Tetsubo! A fitting weapon for an oni-sized, ronin joining the ranks of the Ikari Company.
I think I like the one hanging off the tetsubo more. @TheDiceAbide : Are you going to paint that up like a stuffed toy mascot?
Same here. Welcome @Winsha and I hope your stay here is wonderful experience. I'm going to have to copy your idea here for my own Mirage-5 group if you don't mind. Any tips on how you got Margret's head just right & the fur color for Duroc?
Of course you can. I am looking forward to your model. Duroc's fur color... I just trying to paint as closely as possible with his concept art. And here is a picture during berthier work. I cut her helmet with nail clippers, and then made hair& hair band shape with a putty. The end of hair band used a bread twist tie. :D
@Winsha What a grand way to use twist-ties. I never though of that before. Thanks for the tip. Do you have any suggestions on how to paint fur to look like fur? I see you've done highlighting but would a wash be just as good? Maybe as a welcomed addition with some drybrushing?
I painted the fur in three parts. In this photo, there are blue purple, sky blue and white. Paint this way divided into a start, a middle, and an end according to the large flow of fur. Maybe there is a better way, but I did it this way. I hope this helps.
@Winsha That seems simple to do. I got a K-9 Antipode that I can try this technique on. Thank you once again for answering my question.
