Ho one more suggestion : I think the 3rd offensive narrative should have some dcenzsce to re enzce part of it. Its great to have narrative, even better if you can play it like with paradiso.
Clearly we have a few pro feminist in this thread. Maybe they could each write us a vagina monologue on their version of feminism they support while shaming us. I'm all ears.
Is it really feminism though? It just seems like a whole bunch of "stop liking what I don't like" and "stop liking what someone else might not like". Although it's interesting how there are so many people who have this recalcitrance to expressions of masculine sexuality as if it is violent or discriminatory, to the point where they would actively try to stamp it out like this.
Guys, there are volumes of things that can be written on the subject of what constitutes good or bad sexuality, what is feminism about, and many other related issues. None of them belongs to this thread. If you want to derail one, create it somewhere else.

Also great mention about spec ops rules. I was so hoping for a revamp before I completely forgot. I was hoping for a change so that we'd stop swing the default +1 wip, hacker, chain of Command guy.
This thread made me realise that there is no Zuyong spec ops (male or female) for Invincible army. It makes Yu Jing players (and I know one IRL) feel unwelcome and objectified; I cringe before showing this off to Yu Jing Players.
After the map issue... I keep wondering if typeface and layout used is the only way. Something bigger and/or with different shape would be a lot less eye straining. Yes, I understand it could change page numbers if it grows both in width and height and keeps the line-to-line. There are fewer color backgrounds, but I think there is still room for improvement in readability while still staying in similar page count.
Unfortunately. .. for a poor Pano spec ops... One has to abandon one faculty at the galactic spec ops university of everything goes... In order to go to Derek Zololanders institute for kids who can't read good... :D unless of course ASA or MO (in case of latter one breaks all the restrictions for unlikable spec sgts bar paramedic.... but I digress)

Maybe CB could trial something akin to Modiphius' infinity rpg skill trees, so that one set of skills removes the other.... maybe like: Paramedic (1p) ->+1p doc ->+1p doc plus (haq only)->+1 admiral akbar Rem ass (1p) ->+1p engineer ->+1p engineer plus (bakunin/asa) Hackers...more complicated... Also giving every army a base and advanced trooper... Like YJ zhanshi/celestial and Zhu Yong (but only for @huanglong) Pano fus/reg/Sgt and kamau/bolt/baghmari Nomads alg/sec/mod and wild/grenzer....? What do you think? Nah, the general concept is sound. Skill trees, plus some options mutually exclusive with others - to encourage creating balanced builds, regardless if specialized or toolbox. Also, going into one direction - for example Specialist>Engineer - should make other Specialist option more expensive; this way only exceptional troopers would be able to take both, just like it is in the game. I think I'll sit and draw down an example, but not today, gotta catch some sleep...
Addressing points in the OP in order: 1) Yes, those are non-useful maps. Please make the land and water different colors for future planetary maps. Save the all-black background for space maps! I forget, who is CB's art director? Need to know who to tag for this comment. edit: Well, the art director doesn't have a forum handle, so @Bostria and @Interruptor get to be tagged for this. 2) I disagree here. Invincible Army is new, ergo should have new color schemes. However, I agree with @xagroth that maybe Guijia and definitely Su Jian were not the right models to use for the base. Mowang probably would have been ideal. Guijia is OK, but not really taken very often, which is an unspeakable shame because it's an awesome model. 3) It's time for a new Objectification thread? I admit, I'm not fond of the TechBee as a standard model. The art is pin-up, let's leave her in the Bootleg range, that's what CB created the entire Bootleg range to do! To say nothing of the fact that the art isn't new. Yes, so was I. I would really like a new campaign book. Paradiso's specific campaign is ... not very fun to play, the models required for each mission is very limiting (at best, some armies then had ONE build for some missions), and very complex (@ijw still has the table of what models you need for each mission on his website). I would really like a new SpecOps system, too. One with faction or even sectorial-specific skill lists, in addition to weapons lists. Plus I'd really like to be able to make Zuyong SpecOps. And maybe ORC and Mobile Brigada SpecOps, too (not sure about other factions MI or HI SpecOps candidates)
@Section9 About the army colours: I agree/disagree to a point :). Namely, I understand now that it helps with "your doodz" armies, haven't seen it that way before someone mentioned it here. I disagree with "because it's a new army", old armies never got this treatment (unfortunately) so why not bite the bullet, go with the flow, insert your phrase, and give the fans a full flesh out... online or in a for m of a mini booklet like the ITS 9 booklet. People will vote with their wallets... I am sure it will sell (my friends in situ really liked it). @ev0k so it is a matter of de gustibus non est disputandum. ... so let's employ these criteria, 1 has this particular art been published before - yes, 2 do we have new stuff available - yes, 3 do we have better quality art available - yes yes yes (by that I mean more characters/dramatis personae more colours, more composition etc), 4 in absence of good artistic filler, and in case we are super adamant about the tech bee, do we have a better pic of tech bee? - yes that Giraldez conversion. So why do we still insist on defending this hill.
Still your feelings. My concern is : discuss about the choice of an artwork. Period. Poor, good, disturbing, whatever, is still about everyone's feelings. I'm not discussing your view, i'm questioning your phrasing.
