Finished pictures of my converted Exrah army. Should be almost all done baring 1-2 pieces by the end of the week. Gorgos Nikouls Sakiels (Sometimes Taquels) Sukuel HMG Group Shot (Featuring Krakot, Kaeltar+Mates)
Looking good mate. Are you bringing them tonight? If you are, I wouldn't mind seeing them when I drop off your Luxumbra bust.
Its army painter "plate mail metal" and citadel guiliman blue. Silver then Washed 2-3 times then drybrushed gently silver again
Right on! Looks great. I had a space marine commission and he wants them metallic blue. Still figuring out what I'm gonna do. The new Vallejo Mecha Colour set has a metallic blue, but I'm worried it's going to be too dark for what he wants. Thanks for sharing!
Vallejo Model Color has VMC 70.800 Gunmetal Blue, which i honestly love. If you find it's too dark, you can always lighten it up with VMC 70.521 Metallic Medium, which you can also use pure for highlights as basically the brightest metal you can get, as it's basically pure mica flakes on medium.
@daboarder I hope to see these bugs come back some soon in some form. Maybe as a Merc sectorial of some sort. If you ever need any more Exrahs I'll be happy to search the webs in order to help your quest.
im not sure if I want em to be a list to be honest, because i dunno if what I have would match up. but yeah Im good for vectors for the time being but thanks
Progress, everything but the HVT and Spec-Ops now finished, with a week to go to the Cancon narrative even im pretty stoked about this, gives me plenty of time to finish my terrain for my table and do some final touches on my CHA for the ITS event. Ill post a new group shot tonight once they are finished. Chaksa peripheral Kotails Kumotail Krakot Renegade number 2 And finally a sneak peek of the HVT
Just thought of something: you may want to have some way to make it very clear which troop is which on the table as the models are not what people will be used to and may cause confusion. I for one would have them carrying actual physical Wile E. Coyote style signs with "I'm a Chaksa" and so on, but that's just me :tearsofjoy:
I'll have it either marker on the courtesy sheet or I'll make tokens with the name written on it, not sure which yet. Its for the narrative event which is a strictly non-competitive game so I dont think it will be much of an issue, plus its not like anyone knows what tohaa models are what ;)
For my Brawlers at Cancon, I'm making Warmachine-style quick reference cards that have the stats, skills/equipment and weapon load outs that I'll keep next to the model on the table so my opponent has immediate access to the model's rules. Seems to work a treat.
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/1h0v00t4d3u78im/AABG4X4EO5MP-anqx-3XzL3Ta?dl=0 I'm thinking of updating them, as that was just a rough proof of concept. Print off the PDF, fill in the blanks, cut em up and drop them into card sleeves (I put M:tG cards behind them to add a little firmness)
ah right, I shouldnt have trouble sharing the stats as they will be on the courtesy lists, but more identifying which model on the table is which statline on the courtesy list, hence the idea of markers or images on the courtesy/cheat sheet. Maybe ill do a little list of everything.
They all look quite lovely. Makes me hope for the Exrah to come back at a certain point in the future. Now if only I could find a nicely priced Casuka T.A.G.
