Thankyou. It was a huge surprise when I heard that my name was going to feature, and I only found out about the second reference when people started getting the books in the hand. One of the things I'm most looking forward to is seeing all the little things from the campaigns making it into the official story. And I'll have to make audio recordings of the two quotes and put them up!
Not sure if anyone saw the recent video from the Warsaw Satellite tournament. It looks like we are getting a new book in March. But don't worry, good ol' Carlos was there to reassure everyone, "A big event like uprising, but on a cosmic scale, so enjoy your armies while they are still there". Nah, this video was shown at a tournament this past weekend. The Army update is coming out this week.
Not really sure what was the point of that video. They could have throw a bone and at least show something. I want 10 minutes of my life back :P
I on the other hand, think that too many cameos break the immersion effect, especially if people I do not hold in high regard are made an official part of the fluff. Such inclusion is a double-edged sword - makes some communities happy for being recognised and others bitter because they, for example, think that the person being named only reinforces bad experiences / memories. There's also that thing where a person gets mentioned with real name and surname and they do not appreciate no heads-up of that. But I guess Jerry warcors would have more to say about that, I am not as watchful for my info as they seem to be in Germany.
