In our community we got a question, regarding Activate short skill (to open doors etc).
How does link interact with that particular skill?
In active turn - Does every link member is allowed to activate different objectives? Or only Link leader?

    MOVEMENT SKILLS
This classification includes all the Movement Short Skills (except Discover), and the Entire Order Skills: Cautious Movement, Climb, and Jump.

When declaring a Movement Skill, the Team Leader and all Fireteam members perform said Movement.

Entire Order Movement Skills cannot be combined with other Skills.

    +

ACTIVATE SHORT MOVEMENT SKILL / ARO
    Movement, No Roll.

So imo every fireteam member can Activate different element.

Main question is - in Activate Skill - The user must be in base contact with the desired interactive element.
Does this count as picking target?

    And, even if, so what?

Fireteam dont have to declare the same target in active, not like coordinated.

All participating troopers must declare and execute the exact same sequence of Skills.
If one of the Skills of the Coordinated Order demands a target, all troops must act against the same single target. - CO
    -------
However, all members of a Fireteam must declare the same Order, declaring the same Short Skills of the Order or Entire Order as the Team Leader. - Fireteam

My understanding, (from memory!), is that most 'Activate' skills tend to be "Attacks", (or just a Short Skill), not Movement Skills; so only the Link Leader will be performing them in the Active Turn anyway.
As for the Reactive Turn, (again from memory!), I'm not aware of any such 'Activate' skill that has the "ARO" label; thus no-one's going to be doing this in ARO anyway.

Am waiting to be corrected, though.

You should be talking about ITS "activate console"-like skills, but the question is about this skill - http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Activate

The ACTIVATE skill (http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Activate) is a Movement skill. All the members of a Fireteam will perform it. Yes, they can open 5 doors/elevators.

OTOH, the ITS specific "interact-with-objectives-skills" are all listed as ATTACK.

I stand corrected - though I'm taking consolation in that I was half-right!
