I mean, I have no reason to believe men are any better at parking then women, but unsupported data is unsupported data. We need some scientist to get to the bottom of this!

My philosophy on the matter is "why ask a scientist when you can ask someone with money at stake". Go ask an insurance company.

I've always heard that joke as "do you know why women can't judge distances? Because all their lives they've been told this" *hold fingers about 3" apart* "is six inches."

(punchline that guys always lie about how big they are.)

And that will also depend on which country you are in, the percentage of drivers, etc.
Priests are pretty much universally bad drivers, though. "god is my copilot" doesn't mean much if there aren't dual controls fitted.

We have the fun of American tourists trying to go around roundabouts whilst simultaneously getting used to driving on the correct side of the road.

    Yup.

My stepmom's job while she and my Dad were in Ireland and the UK was to constantly remind him to keep left.

Very few roundabouts in the US, though we are adding more (to force idjits to slow down on roads that are otherwise straight for tens of miles).

Saudian insurance companies tell us saudian women are the best drivers worldwide according to their "almost nonexistent" rate of car accident XD

So you want to say women are less productive as they are (complaining) that they are paid less then men on the same positions ?;P

You're drawing false conclusions and ignoring a metric shittonne of facts and circumstances. Insurance companies maximise profits by offering the most competitive rates they can afford and charging groups of people who are statistically bad drivers according to what that group costs in order to cover their expenses.

Employers offer their shareholders the best return on investment by attempting to (among other things) hire people with the highest skill at the lowest rate. If there is a socially powerless group of people with a high amount of employable skill they can also hire them at a lower rate, thereby maximising the return on investment to their owners. However, that in itself requires a level of meritocracy that doesn't really exist since a powerless group also has a stigma of being unskilled, meaning the employers don't typically see the merits of these people in order to fully exploit them. It's a very complex situation and not at all as straightforward as the insurance situation.

As a matter of curiosity regarding insurance companies and when you can't use them as a measure of much: extreme sports.
Diving has extremely high premiums while skydiving doesn't. That doesn't mean diving is less safe, it just means that skydiving accidents tend to either be trivial or fatal meaning payouts need never be high while diving accidents are seldom fatal but usually extremely costly (and always, always, always avoidable).

I am really glad the monument to the death of humour we have erected was not wasted money...

Can somebody explain me why everything has to devolve in a political sparing?

Which is exactly my point. Something being "reasonable" (from pure "profit first" standpoint) is not always pursued due to other factors, thus "money stake" argument can be flawed.

End end of topic, otherwise PsychoticStorm will do some cleanup here ;p
