Conversion thread! what've you got going on?

My first contribution to the thread!
Guilang with Combi Rifle converted with parts from Guilang with MULTI Sniper Rifle a Zhanshi with Combi Rifle. I had to cut the Zhanshi's arm to get the Combi Rifle, but I hope she will be able to hold the Multi Sniper Rifle easily. I hope they will make another Guilang model soon!

 

These are some of the conversions I'm doing for my DBS team:

My Saito Togan proxy. Tactical Bow Ninja with O Yoroi pilot's arms


The aformentioned O Yoroi Pilot, who will serve as Scarface TAG pilot (and maybe double as a Druze, if I can manage to find more minis withthes Yu Jing shoulder pads)


Yu Jing Zhanshi with a Govad's Missile Laucher top proxy as Brawler with HRL (sorry for the horrible pic)


And the imposing Gorgos Pilot sporting an afro, to be the Brawler Doctor.

EDIT: I used the left over bits to make a brawler hacker.



EDIT 2: I made my combi + light shotgun bashi to get a specialist.

 

Unusual conversion, but I had a decent discount from a sale to buy a bike, so I got a holiday gift intended for my Nomad playing friend. He mentioned he really liked the Exclusive Sniper ABH but that's hard to come by, so I figured I'd do the next best thing and get the ABH biker converted to a sniper, so that way we get to keep the most important bit (the booty/Body) and also customize it to a Nomad theme.

So I took a Daktari arm which came mispacked as extra, and added a hand from Kitsune's spare arm. Now she looks like she's pulling out a dagger from her bag, and it doesn't look too strange either. I have this spare bit from IDK where (I think a remote box), and a spare Aleph Sniper from a Spec-Ops I bought to use as a Sophotect. Sure, it's a bit of heresy to give an ALEPH sniper to what's intended to be a Nomad unit, but so sue me. Now it looks like she placed her sniper on the ground temporarily to rifle through her things and pull out a special (possibly monofilament) knife to shank a simpleton. Looks more natural than I thought it might have. I'll paint it up soon.

Simple head change to get a Marvel-ish Taskmaster

 

Finished the sculpting on Briareos tonight. Now to start painting them.

There are a couple of rough bits but I'm happy overall so I'm gonna stop before I mess it up.

That looks great and different from the original model. Goes to show how a change in color scheme and a few additions can transform a miniature.
What head did you use for the conversion?

 

I don't know, is this counts as an a conversion (but likely it is), since I've just removed umbra from new Joan model. I'm slowly painting her, when I'm feel too tired to continue my Aleph, just to switch things and stuff.

 

It's the stock Khawarij head with the turbin cut off and replaced with the same German WW2 helmets I'm using for my Cobra Troopers. I used some GS to sculpt the ridge on the helmet, and fill in the open spot on the face to make the visor. Everything else is unmodified.

 

Thank you for answering my inquiry. Can you divulge which/what German helmets you are using?

 

They're from the Wargames Factory German Infantry box.

 

I have some of those heads myself. You certainly did a good job on them. Couldn't tell what they were without asking.

 

What do you do with an old Van Zant and some assorted bitz? Captain USAriadna `Murrica!

 

That Briareos is astounding, excellent sculpting work, I love it!
