Christmas is over and boxing day is upon us, and I'm lucky enough to have a family and wife that not only encourages my hobby, but also gave me an irresponsible amount of gift card monies to spend at the LGS. With the scrip burning a hole in my pocket, I decided to spend it on a new faction - and Corvus' newest, and got myself some shiny new Druze guys. Here is a WIP of today's progress. And here is my current makeshift Scarface and Cordelia. Obviously there is a lot to do still, but I think it's a good start. (<-- That's my "drunk on Christmas spirit" face)
Yeah... I've owned a couple of scarfaces throughout the years... but never geckos.. so I decided to try something new.
So, here is my 300 pts of Druze. I'm using Joe as my Arslan for now. I'm assuming Corvus is going to be releasing one in the near future. This is also my Druze killer hacker and my stand in Gromoz. This is my scarface, Cordelia and Druze sniper. And here are my Druze guys.
Very well looking army. The only comment is that maybe scarface would look better with some extra colours, or at least some highlights. In any case, great job!!
highlights or r actualy higher contrast in areas including dirt and bumped areas :) good job congrats - keep painting :)
Yeah, I kinda screwed up on the gecko. I was using the Vallejo chipping medium for the first time and the washes were reacting with the medium. Lol. So, I reprised and painted, but now there is like six coats of paint on it. It's destined for the simple green at some point, but not today! :)
Hey guys... been a long time since i updated, but i added to my druze. I thought I'd update with some pictures.
@taylor The Muyib fits in surprisingly well. I'm guessing he is the smoke/normal grenade launcher loadout right?
He's actually being used to proxy Arslan, who has a multi-rifle and light shotgun. I'm going to be using muyibs for my brawlers.
This is the last pic before i decide to add some brawlers. I was at the LGS tonight and took a picture of my entire druze outfit. :)
Starting on my Druze as well. Just realized just how much detail is sculpted on those minis. Great work on yours.
@taylor Both @Sparrow & @Section9 are correct. Your force does look clean and the Muyibs are perfect proxies for Brawlers. Hopefully people will catch on and use the Hassassins until CB releases more Brawler models.
Honestly... i dont think they need to. Brawlers are drawn from the ranks of a variety of troops to act as PMCs... i dont think they need to have a uniform look. Just my personal thoughts. Infinity seriously has a metric ton of great units to choose from. Giving them an alternative colour scheme and a few weapon swaps, and be proud of what you did instead of seeing everyone with the same stock models in hand.
