The quote on the logo is from a favorite novel, called 'The Stars My Destination' by Alfred Bester. It's a great book, though the quote really has nothing to do with the Ixions, it's from the main character, who undergoes intense physical alterations, and also develops a mantra-poem that he recites to himself while he is lost in space, hoping for rescue, and trying to stay sane. The full poem goes: "Gully Foyle is my name and Terra is my Nation Deep space is my dwelling place The Stars my Destination"
Wonderful Idea about employing the "Spacer Mantra" of the awesome novel by Bester as an inspiration. . . Maybe even "The Moon is an Harsh Mistress" by Heinlein could be another interesting Unit Motto, linked to Infinity ackground by the fact that on Sol System, the Lunar City of Ticho Crater is the only SUCCESSFUL Extra-Mothership political entity to have petitioned to become a "Protectorate" of the Nomads, that jumped at the opportunity to claim a "Landmass" in the cradel of the human race, otherwise an hotbed of intrigue between Pan-Oceanian, Yu-Jing (that seems the "Evil Dictatorship of Mars" of COUNTLESS Sci-Fi Operas) and quarrelsome NA2 Factions. . .
@locksmith You've got a great talent for logos. Each of your works are quite professional. I guess that is one of the reasons why people love them so much.
There's something about working with bezier curves that is meditative for me. I enjoy making them. I'm certainly better at this than I am at painting minis.
Those inner circles have what looks like miniature waves. Maybe that style would be good for a sea themed logo. Perhaps the Purple Pinchers could have that design incorporated into it.

Inkscape is an open source vector editor ... it offers mostly the same features and functions as Illustrator.
