    I find myself leaning into maxing out my SWC a lot, hence my general dislike for cost increasing Lieutenants and shameless love for SWC discount Lieutenants ( ZuYong HMG AutoMedikits are so obvious, but they're just so nice at the same time. ).

    Playstyle preferences and all that, I suppose.

    I suppose the druze LT was somewhat out of place, if another LT option was added a japanese LT option would be more thematic than druze ever was.. Maybe a really punishing design like any daiyokai profiles must be LT if taken (super obvious and so subpar XD), keep the weakness in faction? I still feel sad that the karakuri/druze core wasnt a thing, Ive found them fun enough that Ill be giving them a try this season anyway.

    I actually agree with that. Druze did seem out of place for it. Actually what would have been cool is if they had a Wu Ming Lt. bent on revenge!

    A Tanko or Daiyokai LT option would be pretty spot on. Personally, I hope we get a named character at some point.

    Please note that I haven't divided the combat groups and some troops will switch from group1 to group2 and vice versa

    This is lots of specialists. Karakuri shall act as attack pieces and specialists. Main wetwork will be done by the RuiShi (+Supportware by the Keisotzu Hacker) and the Core-link Keisotzu/Tanko ML/Brawler MSR. Bashi + Yuan are there to wreak havoc and perhaps push additional buttons.

    Any suggestions? Is this working? If not, why? :)

    It looks great to me. Possibly the only thing I'd change is the SO Bashi for the Weibing FO bot. Love that Tool-bot! Especially for Sensor. A lot of button missions, guys use their camo infiltrators like the Ninja. Sensor comes in handy.

    You're right. Both the Desperados and Yuan Yuans were my MVPs, alongside my always reliable ninja (he cc'ed 3 tags, in 3 different games, and even destroyed an avatar...). An yuan yuan rolled an e/m grenade and ended a salamandra happy life, and the desperados just ran and killed the rest of their list. All in all, pretty funny units!

    I'm looking forward in trying this. Its designed to do the following:
    • Use EVO to give Yan Yan +3 wip for AD
    • Use EVO to give remotes Overclock (+1B in ARO)
    • Have 8 MSV2 Spitfires on my courtesy list (the look on your opponents face is usually priceless)
    • Karakuri H-Shotgun to jump into objective rooms turn 3 and then go dogged.
    • Engineer +2 helpers go bring back everything with 2 level of unconscious
    • Mandatory Ninja for early objective grabbing.
    Cons: the list only has a ML for shooting over 24 inches, And an obvious Lt.

    Unfortunately it looks like I can't make it this weekend.

    Interesting with 2 RS and 2 LD. Let me know how that goes. I love my YY but 4 is bit excessive. I'd drop one just to give the Karakuri the Mk12. I'm sure you are planning on the YY throwing smoke on the Rui Shi but a Karakuri with Mk12 in suppression is fantastic!

    Well you can make the Keisotsu your Lt. instead of the Brawler. You have the 1 SWC to do it. It's not like it's contributing to the team anyway.

    I'll can drop the brawler LT to a keisotsou LT and get the mk12 karakuri, but I like the heavy shotgun. Besides the ML the list is missing weapons to break high armor. The heavy shotgun is 15 ap against armour and a nice template which is usefully if you want to dogged the karakuri into your opponents front line. It's really easy with a yuan yuan dropping smoke to let it move in.

    I've played the list a couple times now and I really like it. I haven't always won, but its fun. I've been told its intimidating. I find I need to act up a little, and actively discuss Holo echo tactics when playing them. Mentioning that its sometimes better to Idle on an ARO if the odds are not in your favor. This way you can save you model for an active turn. This way you opponent will spend the second half of their order on an idling Holoecho just to be sure, wasting their orders.

    My biggest complaint is that everything is fairly fragile. Even the KariKuri is not as robust as i thought it was.

    the KK is only because it's there's only one like it and has a target painted on it! As much as I like 4 YY I'd probably drop one to take the Mk12 Karakuri. I've had success by putting it into suppression fire. That can be really useful on a KK!

    I love Lu Duan! I'm still trying to get the hang of echos too but so far I love them. I used them with ISS but they are so worth it in Ikari.

    @Cannon Fodder , I really like that list! Only thing I would do differently is putting the ninja in group 2, the Karakuri in group 1. ALso would try to get a Paramedic into the Keisotsu group, just to have another Classified covered if needed and to bring the Tanko back if you have an extra order sitting around.

    Regarding resiliency, the cool thing about STR is being able to fix two levels of Unconscious with a single roll. Your engineer can bring a lot of scrapped bots back from the dead. If you're using Group 1 super aggressively and then bringing them back via Engineer rolls using your Group 2 orders, it's almost as good as built-in extra wounds.

    Don't forget about Overclock if you go second. You have 4 bots that will get double shots in ARO with decent range, including two that are Holo 2 with flamethrowers (lots of potential coverage). That's a decent disincentive to anyone who tries to alpha you.

    I usually plan on having the Karikuri switch groups turn 2-3 and walk up the table for an objective. He is my usual Data tracker. I may switch the Ninja to group 2, but I like to reserve my group 2 regular orders for YY, and also want my Ninja to have a couple orders for early objective grabbing. I don't think its a good idea to have the YY & Ninja in the same group, they both need the same orders.

    I like to spread out my YY. Nothing sucks more than bringing on YY and not having enough orders to do anything after. My opponent usually knows they re happening anyway. also if you have one group at 9 orders, he's not going to know if it's a YY or Ninja that makes up that last order!

    And now, for the... fifth time now, I think... a list I'm trying to work towards to get into Ikari ( Because goddamn is it taking me a loooooooooong time to get a Janisaire box to proxy the Wu Ming as... )...

    Came into possession of a few odd Haqq models though, so they've helped at least ease the situation into ''I only need to get the Jani box now at least.''
    ( Since Ikari and Druze have slowly shaped into being ''Okay, Haqq has cool units and the occasional cool model... but I dun like Haqq overall. So I'll just call these guys defective Haqqs instead and feel better about it.'' )
