This would be a minor concern of mine. I'm not a huge fan of new options totally invalidating existing ones.
Well i will probably proxy the Echo Bravo with my Akalis. I do like the Akalis model (but i never used them anyway).
They have always been nice models. But I have a sneaking suspicion that we won't wait too long for an Echo Bravo either.
Hmm, it seems as though every other faction has that one profile that hasn't had any renders or word on a release date (ai bike in Tunguska, Arjuna in OSS, dynamo in TAK, Carmen in TAK, ect.) what will ours be? Just looking at the list above im going to say the Montessa biker.....
Yeah, even if Yu Jing get the shaft, this will still be a great book for several factions. More so than Uprising.
Am i the only one thinking i won't really field orcs in Varuna at all with these new units? Maybe a cheap BSG orc to fill up the fus+Kamau link if possible? The HMG Orc so far gets beaten for me by HMG Kamau (only -1BS + mimetism + cheaper) And even Feuerbach (for me) is overshadowed by MSR MSV2 Kamau. This is not complaining there is such so much amazing profiles i'm afraid i won't have points left for orcs. (I do like my orc models).
Good question. It depends a bit on the ORC character perhaps, but I think Acon gets more from ORCs than Varuna does. Kamau vs ORC: Both 4-4... Linked Kamau is BS16 Mimetism vs BS17. MSV2 available. Bagh Mari vs ORC: 4-2 Forward Deployment vs 4-4... BS15 Mimetism Visor vs BS17 I think Bagh Mari offers a more interesting choice, with more distinct pros and cons. The Bagh is a great versatile gunfighter but its bonuses won't work vs everyone, and it's slower. The Kamau has more of the same benefits of the ORC (fast MOV, higher BS.) @MikeTheScrivener I recall an interview saying that CB sculptors are working on the Zondnautica, but are giving it a lot of attention because it's such a unique unit. So progress is happening on that one. No firm word on the others you mentioned. Definitely hoping we don't have to wait too long for an EB sculpt, though the Akalis Hacker (I'm sure lots of PanO players have one sitting around...) looks like a really nice basis for an EB conversion.
Overall, I'm kinda surprised at getting the Squalo (and no light TAG at all). I was expecting Cutter and probably the Tikbalang for the light TAG. Zulus don't take up Crocmen AVA, so you can have all your Crocs and still take Zulus. Yes. This is also how awesome the YJ reveals should have been. Yes, #PanOCanHazNiceThings! Not just PanO players. I'm more worried about their regimental Rugby team...
Why? just cause of the attention to vanilla heavy infantry? Man, I wish Varuna was getting some type of PanO gecko. My idea of how I will use them has definitely shifted over the course of the reveals. I'm still think B2 BS17 Feuerbach attached to fusiliers is a solid ARO piece though. While we know Patsy will be an NCO, I hope they don't just stick her with a multi rifle and call it a day. There are few skills and other pieces of equipment that would make this okay. Sweet! I just completed my montessa conversion so that pretty much confirms it's going to be a surprise November release. Although, I hope the echo bravo is soon aswell, and with a wild parrot miniature!
