Not exactly that, but bringing a specialist for a haul (so that 1-2 MOV orders of Tikbalang are also used to move specialist closer to objective) is not a bad thing. Even hauling Bagh-Mari HMG might be a nice order saver (even just for 1-2 orders).
Hmmm, would have been cool if they had made the Montesa bikers an additional profile that shared AVA with the MD Montesas. Ah well.
hey man, machinist IS a specialist. tbh, Bagh would be out ran in like 2 orders. it would be okay.... but I think the HMG is probably better off in the Regular teams it can now link with.

Well I just re-read through them, even without CoC he can perform 5 of the new classifieds that the Tik/pilot can't.
It might make it worthwhile for some missions. Certainly allows him to be pulled up the table order-efficiently behind an aggressive Tik. But, I'm mostly with @daboarder here... The updated Montesa is especially disappointing. Did they REALLY have to ditch the old profiles? But the drop in Remote AVA will hurt a lot of players with existing lists.

I'm actually really excited for the bike -- there wasn't a lot the Montesa could do before that the Guarda couldn't do, now the Montesa doesn't feel like a straight downgrade. Having a specialist profile on him is interesting, and his CC is actually good enough to consider using in some cases now. I'm reserving judgment until I see what the options are. If a Tik can drag a specialist partway up the table to drop them off, that's fine with me. On some tables, the TAG is going to want to be using C+ anyway, so the slower speed of the unit it's carrying will be made up for by the vertical movement of the TAG for a couple of moves. I just see AVA1 Montesa, AVA1 Akalis, AVA1 Baggage bot, AVA1 Bulleteer and AVA2 Palbots missing, did I miss something interesting? The only things of those I was regularly taking AVA of were Baggage bots... I don't know anyone who will be sad they can't take 5 Akalis.

Checking in because I was interested in how this would develop. I gotta say, I'm surprised at the positivity for the new Montesa. All the ASA guys at my club hate it, and are resolving to establish the old version as legal in the local scene. I kinda get where they're coming from, it seems really brutal to make the Spitfire variant useless even as a dismounted model.
A vet kazak is a half of the points of a single tag. And is not scoring outside of the actual specialist profiles. So duo gives it a Gun and scoring. A solo TAG already has a gun and scoring. And +4wip with inherent shoot me vulnerability isnt worth an extra 30 pts
