    Hujambo,
    Здраво and
    Schöne Grüße fellow Nomads!

So we have now got Tunguska and we've had it for a few months. Releases are slow on the uptake but I am sure we've all been proxying, experimenting and playing games with both the new Sectoral and TJC units in Vanilla too. Bakunin and Corregidor both just got a sexy little boost from the Bravery rule in ITSX giving MI Forward Deployment L1, something we get a lot out of due to our proliferation of excellent MI, and also our excellent selection of Drop Troops are also looking happy too! Plus with StarCo earlier this year mostly being Nomad units, there's even a fourth unofficial Sectoral for us to play with that does some exciting things and has some cool guests.

So how do we feel about the current state of affairs, Nomads? Are we happy with all our stuff? What little tweaks might we want to see in the future? What new minis and resculpts? Do we feel like we're lacking in any particular place? I have to say for me it feels like Nomads are a really flavoursome and interesting faction with lots of cool options and gameplay choices. Opinions wanted!

Besides the obvious Tunguska models, I really want to see/get the zondnautica model.
Resculpts of moran, wildcats and zeros which are all staple of Nomads nation.
Next some adjustmests to corregidor and bakunin sectorials. Mixed links.
    Improved profiles for mobile brigada.

I am quite torn about the the recent releases and events.

    VANILLA
Nothing changed to me. The core of our Vanilla lists stays the same. Just the Hecklers and Raoul give new/better options to our Vanilla lists.

    TUNGUSKA
I am not happy with the release. Not because of the units. I think the sculpts are great as well as most of the rules. However I don't understand the lack of MSV2/3 because of the fluff but more the lack of a Warband or capable CC unit to make it more easy play ITS tournaments with missions like Looting & Sabotaging etc. as well as some board control to stop early rushes. At the moment Tunguska is a Limited Insertion army and in missions like Looting & Sabotaging, for example, we have to use D-Charges taking Specialists, TAGs or Perseus, who is more useful in a fireteam to me. And the release plan is weird. We got all the fancy rules but first we had no models at all, not even a full core fireteam. They try to catch up, but slowly and this kills the hype. It would have been great to see the release supported by a 300 points box. It would have been a blast and a bestseller.

    CORREGIDOR
Great army, I think they are quite complete with buffing Mobile Brigada as well as giving the Iguana more use with 3W. At the moment it is just really expensive with 2W compared to the Gecko (and the ejecting HI isn't just the same like the TAG). I have never seen a Mobile Brigada at a tournament and the Iguana just once. They should add the StarCo fireteam options to Mobile Brigada and the Bakunin Riot Grrls as well.

    BAKUNIN
So far, the most complete sectorial to me. We have everything: Best HI (price/value), good MI with crazy E/M, board control with Zeros, warbands, best CC in the game (Überfallkommando), a great Haris option, HD+ and much more.

    STARCO
Funny, but not more than that. Apart from HI fireteams and the most often used E/M fireteam I think it lacks a lot for ITS compared to Vanilla, Corregidor and Bakunin.

    FLUFF
I miss a bit of background for the new models as well as more information about the state of the Nomads regarding Wotan, the last campaign and the recent attacks of ALEPH.

Corregidor needs a few slight buffs IMHO

Brigada/dak/massacre link like Starco, for one

I`m pretty satisfied with Tunguska release, plenty of new toys to play. Currently I`m drifting off ITS so I don`t even want to analyze sectorials capabilities.
I`ll do my own puppets and zondnautika eventually.

A bit excited on Tunguska fluff in upcoming book.

I want Senior Massacre linking with Wildcats in Corregidor. And a normal HD Wildcat instead of the Assault Hacker would also be amazing.

The complete lack of MSV2 in TJC is a heavy fluff-fail for me. I could easily stomach not having warbands and smoke but for one of the most technologically advanced, paranoid and security focussed sectorials to not have visors is a little baffling to me.

Bakunin and especially Corregidor both need the modern fireteam treatment. Ideally without mandatory characters everywhere. A mixed MB plus anything link would go a long way to help Brigadas out. Same goes for the Moira links even though both would probably need a little tinkering with their profiles which brings me to my next point...

Some small profile tweaks and a new profile here and there would suffice to polish the internal balance of CJC and BJC. Prime candidates would be Brigadas, Prowlers, Moiras, Grrls (slight nerfs), Carlotta and Wildcats. Some troops like the Intruder or the Hellcats just have some odd profiles that are completely overshadowed.

New miniatures. I'm very happy with the Bakunin range except the Lizard. The Corregidor range finally needs their new Morans above all followed by all new Wildcats (so much potential!) and I personally hope for 1-2 new Tomcats. New remotes and support pack would be icing on the cake.

edit. Oh and we need a combat remote like the Rudra! I always thought Nomads would be a perfect fit for something like that!

Bakunin is the strongest faction so I don't want it to change~

The only things I want to see for Bakunin:
    • Moderator Dire Foes, idc what the loadout is
    • Meteor Zond reduced to 0.5 SWC

    Things I'd like fluffwise are:
1 Taskmaster as part of a Mods Link or
1 Tsyklon as part of a Mods Link
    Then tactically:
Avicenna + Riot Grrls (but that would render StarCo useless for me)
    Moira Haris

But in general there are no "mix n' match links" needed. The classic links are easy to grasp and straightforward, that's good.

I'm curious about which tweaks/nerfs or profiles are on your mind here. So far I can't see any flaws in these profiles. Especially not in the Prowlers.

Regarding the new Sculpts for Bakunin I'd rather have the sectorial freezed than more pathetic cosplayers! Riot Grrls obviously excluded ;)

*sarcasm on* Nah, thats totally not needed! *sarcasm off* As I was told after speculating about this in the Tunguska thread it was considered to be too strong.

    YES!!!

I didn't expect MSV2 at all in Tunguska. More a MSV3, but that would still make the Intruder HMG (their second bestselling model) obsolete/redundant. I expected a Biometric Visor to see those filthy infiltrators, which we got.

Have to disagree for Bakunin. They are fine. Grrls nerf, are you serious!? :D At the moment just the Mobile Brigada is not state of art, that is all. I think we will be suprised by the incoming IA rules anyway. We just need some flexible fireteam options in Bakunin and maybe Shock Immunity for Moiras. But in my opinion just as @helsbecter mentioned:

Vanilla is better than ever. A pretty full suite of powerful options that lose little taken on their own. Mostly just anxious for models. Puppetactica, Mary, Zondnautica are all pretty huge rule additions we're waiting to see.

Bakkunin seems like its in great shape. A couple good links that make it worth losing out on Vanilla options and great tools for infiltrating specialists, Lts, warbands, etc. Really the only Sectorial with significant advantages for what it gives up.

Corregidor just doesn't have any particularly appealing unique options. It's not unplayably bad, but after a while it feels like you're just being stubborn not declaring your list Vanilla and taking some of the cool tools Corregidor lacks.

Tunguska feels similar to Corregidor in that regard. It has better fireteam options but none so efficient to make up for the tools they lack. Also missing models, particularly the Grenzers. Also, waiting for Raoul.

StarCo is in a weird place. It's got cool Fireteams and some fun lists, but its really limited when it comes to ITS missions. There's oddities like the exciting addition of Chain of Command on a model more interested in using orders than any Lt option available. It feels a lot like what I want Corregidor to be, but it really hurts to have so much AVA 1 on the specialists.

I pretty much agree with these points.

Re Corregidor I think two units need improving: Brigada and Wildcats.

I don't think Corregidor Brigada should get the same link options as Starco Brigada because that would take away from Starcos uniqueness. However, mixed alguacile/ Brigada links might make using Brigada more worthwhile.

I think wildcats need a complete rework. I'm not sure what this would look like but adjusting the SWC cost on spitfires and HRL to 1.5 would be a good start.

Edit_ just realised spitfires actually are 1.5 swc. We're they always or did CB change it at some point? I still think HRL needs to be 1.5 too

I came into Nomads at the advent of Tunguska, but I feel like Vanilla is at a really strong place. TJC feels like one of the recent sectorials that actually gave Vanilla a ton more options. I have been playing Tunguska exclusively since its’ release and it has been fun, but the pull of Vanilla is constantly there. I think the only thing keeping me in TJC is the Hollowmen Core link, it is the most fun link I have played in the game with some very unique strengths.

I feel like the real potential with Corregidor is the Geckos. Get them in some fireteams (other than duo) and the sectoral will have a niche. It would be terrible, but part of me really wants an Iguana/Geckbro Haris just because it would be cool to see. I do agree statswise Brigada and Wildcats feel the most wanting.

One thing I think is kind of needed in general is a revamp of the Haris skill. You pay a tax for a skill on a model that in itself is kind of a tax more often than not and despite not having a very useful or interesting loadout, still eats a third of the Fireteam. You can really see it in the Wildcats, where you see people taking Haris, Number 2, and.....? It works okay when the Haris skill is on a unique model in the fireteam, but generally speaking I think its a pretty limiting and confusing ability that isn't worth it more often than not.

I read something recently where Corvus Belli said they had experimented with Geckos in Fireteams and found them broken. It is probably safe to say we will not see any TAGs in Fireteams other than Duo.

That is sad =( Geckos aren't really proper TAGs, they are more like heavy infantry. They don't really have the big guns to work best with link bonuses. I actually think putting a Mobile Brigada in a Alguacile (or Jaguar lol=p) link like I initally suggested would be more OP. But I don't think either are better than options already in other factions

Interesting responses, I gotta say I'm surprised that not everyone is that enthusiastic about Tunguska, they're really cool and interesting IMO!

I for one really love them! I’m even keeping with them in ITS X despite the massive buff USARF just got.
