First impressions of the army is that it definitely wants to choose deployment. Pick a good side and setup aro's to counter the enemy. Alot of your stuff has clear weaknesses to templates and Msv. So counter deploying those problems whilst putting your incredible ARO's to a position to hurt the enemy seems like a big deal. The army definitely is very effective at killing and surviving too. Most of my games I had between 200-250 surviving points left and my opponents were between 100-50. Reminds me alot of NCA in the way it uses its superiority to win the game. Which is why I think they didn't give the faction smoke.

Any questions happy to talk about it!

Remind, OSS have the possibility to take smoke:

    - Bounty Hunters Boty 2 on roll 8 to have smoke grenades. 15pts boarding shotgun x2 AVA and dúo option.

Less probability but you have the chance, they cost like a specialist Dakini.

SoF changes the game completely for OSS.

Planing for a ITS with SoF in the next couple of weeks, lists become way more diverse when you have easy access to both smoke and disposable troops.

im firmly of the opinion OSS doesnt need anything more to be a strong faction. SOF may change up lists but i dont think it makes them stronger

They don't make the faction stronger.

But they do make Asura and Marut much more viable options.

    Or even deva msv2.
More options of infiltrating/combat jumping ani material ccw also changes a lot in some cases, as its OSS weakness.

True, although Deva MSV2 is cheap enough that she can be taken otherwise simply to have MSV2 available. :)

    Indeed.

Yeah, Deva with her link options and points/SWC cost is always good idea.

I think asura LVL 2 lt is totally viable .(and believe me I was a massive critic of this profile) but the marut is much better in vanilla. That's not such a bad thing tbh. You can take it and it's fine... But it's much better in vanilla.

Thanks for sharing your List! Acutally I do have some Questions, as my first list with OSS looks quite similar, but some points surprise me:

    - I see no designated offensive heavy-weapon-killer-unit that walks across the board and wins Firefights on medium ranges like a Garuda Spitfire, Deva Spitfire etc. Did you miss one? Who attacked the enemy in your LIst?
    - How did you protect your Shukra? An obvious LT that is neither in a Fireteam nor a marker and no CoC looks risky to me, was it a problem?
    - What are your thoughts behind taking the Proxy MK I Hacker instead of the Engineer? It seems a bit redundant to me as you already have the Danavas. Have you considered taking the Engineer Proxy and dropping the Sophotect for it? Why did you go for the Sopho?

Would love to hear your thoughts.

    Cheers,

    M

    First question strike pieces.
I use posthuman sniper agressively and it worked wonders. Also the total reaction bot buffed I use agressively and b5dakini with marksman is as agressively as it gets. Also with amazing bs all over the place even mk1 and mk5 are capable in their good range. To put the killing question in perspective. I put three opponents in retreat and the other two had 100pts left. My AVG was roughly 240pts left.

Lt: With the level of amazing ARO's. I wasn't worried at all.only thing that concerned me was specfire. Which I think isn't efficient so I don't worry about it massively.
Proxy hacker was so I could have two hackers to buff tr bot/dakini and worked well. In saying that it's a good call and I considered those exact changes you said. The sophotect didn't feel needed mostly. however in the one game I took proxy engineer instead of sophotect I had two or three things I couldn't revive which sucked
So yeah your changes make sense and I may change them however the list felt incredibly rounded and covered almost every base.

Interesting, thanks. And I am not trying to talk you into changes, just widen my own perspective.

@ Hacker: hadn't thought about 2 active Supportware, sounds legit.
@ LT: hm, interesting that it worked for you. Maybe I'll try it out myself as Strategos and Counterintelligence is really nice.
One more thing: with no sync bots, no Sensor and no Visor, what were your experiences with Mines and Camo skirmishers?

I rarely run visors as a personal hang up. Prefering to use templates and mines to deal with problems. I will admit I definitely felt uncomfortable not having sensor (especially with the two sniffer bots) what it came down, to was did I want the sensor lt Deva or shukra. And the shukra in this list is amazing! Seriously counter intelligence and Strategos is such an amazing combo for 27pts. Back to the lack of sensor. In reality it didn't come up and i even played against A very capable TAC player. My experience of it was I'd use my pieces defensively and then my opponent would spend his orders revealing them to engage me so I didn't have to. The optical mods protected me a fair bit. The only piece that gave me grief all weekend was an Intruder. And if I had my time again I would have just counter deployed it and made him waste orders getting it into a good position. Naga has mines if I need them. And there are plenty of nanopulsars all over the place too. Not disagreeing with your observations in fact I really struggled between shukra/Deva decision. I had a second list that had a Deva msv2 in my link btw but that list didn't feel as strong and didn't see as much game time either.

I played asura spit lt lvl2 last sunday in local 10 players tournament. I used her in 1 game (frontline) and against shava and she maid my game (escort xenotech, done a classified in midfield with her class, murder much of ennemies, was an nightmare in midfield suppressive fire for my opponent and won the game still alive in the nearest zone of opponent deployment zone at the end of the game).

I also won the tournament with 3 majo victories. CSU duo breaker specialist + boarding shotgun is wonderfull, daikini FT with hacking support is damned good!

    - Dakinis HMG/Sniper bonus core + assited fire, Yadu's fireteams options included the Rudra... Solo profiles; Asura LT2 3 orders (4 orders as a Datatracker missions added on her unique DataT order) for her, mk2 sniper, alone dakini HMG the same little brother as a Q-Drone on CA, mk3 spitfire, mk4 HMG, TR HMG bot, Shakti, included a signle Yadu. Dart + Andromeda and the new inclusion of Arjuna was my experience. Im not including the Garuda here, bcs he can't added the assited fire, bcs he lands very far over the OSS repeaters but the Shootgun on him are totaly worth it. OSS have a nice arsenal in terms of all range weapons on ligth/medium profiles can do intense firefigths. Remind, you have the free option to add the ML REM FTO in anny fireteam... Dakinis core with ML and all of them benefits from assited fire... scary team like the Unidron Onyx core... but, in active turn, Dakinis are a bit strong with that mimetism on that precious HMG... like the Q-Drone but, added with bonus team... amazing.
    - Protecting Shukra are fine, near CSU's and pulse flash bots. If you have fear to losing the LT... just only run with full team of Yadus profiles... all of them are veteran1 and go to crush the enemy. Or simply, pay 2 SWC on a TO marker as a LT Daysu. Im glad to see and Asura LT2 + Shukra in the same list... you have a strong active LT, or a Shukra playing with Yadus or in a REM list covered with some falsh pulse bots in a bunch of orders list.
    - Sophotec are fine in all list, i see her very strong in a full REM list added with 4/4 servitors and a cheap hacker like a mk1 only to do 2 things; unlock REM list and assited fire over the Danavas in a regular games... if you going to play against a heavy MSV's list, Danavas are the best option instead the; Sophotec+mk1 hacker, bcs you have the White Noise + Assited fire on the active heavy weapon Dakini, all covered by the cheap engineer on the mk1 with the same servitors in a Sophotec.
