Killjoy. It better not be the Laika Dog-Girl mini. Just sayin'. Had enough of the werewolf silliness, me. Security Chief Arslan?
I stand by your side, I'm thrilled by this news. First the MO box coming next month, now a brand new CA offensive fluff scenario in which test my new armor powered, gun toting, sword swinging new knights; what one could ask more from CB? Playing the game since 2006 I saw many iterations of Infinity and many fads and trends rise and fall, and I can clearly say that N3 is the best that the game has to offer till now and maybe is also improving in the next months! I get that some like to indulge in salt, but hey Yu Jing seems to me a very well balanced and playable force, maybe has less choices but far from a weakness that is to me a strong selling point. Sometimes people should consider how a nightmare is to compose a Nomad Vanilla list in the bloated array of choices one can find trapped in. OT: Some online personas, like VaulSC and co., liked to whine about Uprising, I know, but hey that is a tradition alien to us Infinity players, let the warmahorde chaps and ex-ones revel in whine-factories duty. All in all as a cautionary tale consider that: PP trolled the whiners outsourcing to them game development with CID and now who gets the blame for an unbalanced, stuck and boring game? You got it ... so I am very happy with CB so far
It's the best sci-fi/fantasy wargame on the broad market and by a long way. 40K, AoS, Warmahordes... none of them touch Infinity for me. It's actually spoilt other games for me, I struggle to get into anything else.
Just a note to settle this "Acheron Falls" was a working title for the next book, never a true title for any book.
Same here, I have some friends that are getting into kill team and I considered it, but then I read the rules..
This is the image used to promote Uprising notice how the book look much thicker than the actual product. So while you could be correct in that this could be a book the size of HS3, personally I think that a Uprising size book with the new sectorials and maybe Spec-Ops rules. and some fluff to tie it all together.
I'm going to guess Authorized Bounty Hunter - Red Fury, not that I expect Koni to tell us if we guess it correctly.
Man...that would be the dream. If the book was accompanied by new Dire Foes sets for the Sectorials present(not necessarily in the same order as the actual packaging or that becomes Coldfront box #3 and Varuna and Tunguska going at it for some reason)or just new SpecOps models released solo as part of the accompanying preorders(not for the book itself). Heck, it'd work if we saw Raoul or Perseus, Pavel, Garnett, and a resculpted Lucien Sforza come out as the accompanying releases for this book(not the preorder bits).
I love Dire Foes, I have to say, they're some of my favourite little releases. Nifty characters with a relatively low cost that often add a nice bit of tactical flexibility to a core link, a typically lovely civilian mini, some background... they definitely do it for me and I've been wanting to see them for Sectorals without for ages!
As long as they are not as poorly designed as Rosie, we'll be fine. And by that I mean the fluff and model. Rules were okay. The rest was...yeah.
A Xenotech would actually be really cool, works as an HVT if XTs go away next season, and it's something that's easily proxied by many existing models so it's not something really essential, but nice to have. Though I've put my mouth on it now, so it's not going to happen.
There still are some bounty hunter profiles we don't have (as there are a lot of booty option), so it could be another bounty hunter LE This being said, I hope for xenothech too
I'm going to join the voices of pessimism. I'm hopeful this book is good, but I'm a little shy after the last one. I expect the LE mini will be some useless junk I will never touch. I've never used any of the past ones I got, so I feel pretty confident on this. My guess is a Krakot: it is a mercenary available to most (all?) factions and would fit a Combined Army Third Offensive theme.
