i am going to buy some after market bases as I venture into adding remotes to my JSA.

Are they all still 40mm or should I get 55mm?

Easiest thing to do is first check on the Army the S of each unit you want, then go to the downloads and print the silhouette gaming aid, and measure the base on those (don't include the black lines).

    It is something like that:
    S1 & S2 are 2.5cm wide (1 inch)
    S3 & S5 & S6 are 4cm wide (~1.5 or 1.6 inches)
    S4 & S7 are 5.5cm wide (~2.4 inches)

    From the old forums:

    Silhouettes:
    Width x Height
    S0: normal Silhouette width x 3mm
    S1: 25x25mm
    S2: 25x40mm
    S3: 40x32mm
    S4: 55x32mm
    S5: 40x45mm
    S6: 40x55mm
    S7: 55x67mm
    S8: 70x70mm
