Throw in a couple of Dynamos and the midfield becomes the stuff of nightmares I... kinda really want to do this now
The Kuryer is there so that you can start with a mine on the table. As it stands now, the DZ is basically full of empty camo tokens, or a guy with a gun who is Burst 1. The Kuryer makes sure the opponent has to contemplate whether or not he's dropping his AD trooper into an antipersonnel mine when he's attempting to eat your backline. Same idea as Minelayer on the TJC Puppeteer. But, you know, there aren't 40 other Camo tokens in the TJC DZ as well. Alongside Streloks, opens up the shell game a bit.

This took 5 minutes and I'm very happy to run it with no further tweaks.
Liking this so far as I play with it. Best part of the Kuryer...now I can take 2 Minesweeper Muls and still also have the Katyusha! So 38pts for 4 regular orders including a mine in the back, an indirect fire platform with improved BS plus a specialist engineer to look after them. Toss in some Strelok FOs with boarding shotgun (great combo for my play style) and a link team with AP HMG Vet Lt and Vassily and I'm a happy camper.
What do you guys think about Pavel? he seems like a good way to wreck someone's day in the midfield, just get him into cc with an advancing expensive trooper and watch him go
I'm sorry, but i'm kinda lost with Veterans' fireteam rules. I can see that they can form Haris, Duo and special core with two Frontoviks. But "wildcard" description is kinda vague for me. If "Veteran Kazaks can join any fireteam", does that mean that there's no limit of them in one link? So you can create one Line Kazak plus 4 Vets? Can they join Special Fireteams to creat f.e. 3 Frontoviks + 112 + Vet? Can they join it at any time or only at the beginning, where most of the Fireteam creation rules are met? I am slightly confused.
As far as I can read that is correct. No limits to them joining any link team in any number. That would explain the Duo profiles as well since they have no native link rules meaning they need someone with the rule to form the team much like a Haris. I don't see how the rule works any other way, just count them as a base member of the link whatever that may be.

Anyone got a theory as to why the 112 got linked while the Kazak Doc didn't? It's not a big deal, just seems odd.
Because linking a light shotgun is fundamentally better than linking another rifle, and some playtester out there noticed this was true. Bit of a shame though. I would have liked for TAK to get linkable Kazak Doctors, and the 112 should have been linkable with Metros in MRRF.
Haven't the foggiest, and it doesn't make much sense 112s linkable in FFRM, Caledonia or even USAR would make more sense
If I had to theorize... it's because a Doctor running about with a fire axe is cooler than one without?

Well, sure, but there's no reason they couldn't have rejiggered their load-outs to address that concern. It's not like they didn't just release a pile of new profiles or anything. It's just unfluffy in a sea of lovely fluffiness, blah. Otherwise, I am enamored with TAK.
You can make a Core of 5x Frontoviks and replace 2 of those with wildcard Vet kazak. So why bother with a special core of up to 3 vet kazak + exactly 2 frontoviks ? You can already make a regular pure Frontoviks core and swap in as many vet kazak/voronin as you want.
