I agree with some of the sentiments above about Igao. It's a good unit.

I only play three armies nowadays:

    Bahram:
    Govads
    - Never use them in a full link, as if I ever wanted to handicap myself with a 20 points per model link I'd take Muyib - much better with the Dogged. Govad can't compete in regular Haqqislam, either, as the Djanbazan are much better and only slightly more expensive.
Lasiq - No use for their F:Core, meaning they're usually unlinkable. No Specialist. Boring.
Daylami - Why are they irregular again? Comparing them to Grunts, that's a question I can never answer.

    Tohaa:
    Kaeltar
    - Symbiobombs need more incentive to take. I take them most of the time, but it's a handicap.
Taqeul - Too expensive. No reason to field. Like most Regen/Automedikit units. Problem easily fixed by those two skills providing the user with an irreg order that can be spent only on picking themselves up.
Kotail - Who am I supposed to disguise as? Also, Symbiomates on THE Kotail, i.e not copying the Symbiomate with Holoprojector is a silly ruling.

    USARF:
    Devil Dog
    - Was already said. Too expensive. Multiple fixes possible.
Minutemen - LOL. Admittedly, I do take the Marksman Rifle / X Visor one, from time to time.
Unknown Ranger - What am I paying 47 points for again?

Daylami compared to Grunts? Man Daylami are ace, in fact if the Daylami LSg and Panzerfaust with inferior infiltration wasn't 0.5 SWC it'd be straight up OP as hell. I regularly take four.

Yeah, easy. That's why they cost SWC.

Grunts also cost SWC, the PF vs H Flamer is a situational thing, Grunts have ARM 3 and are regular. Either one is too cheap or the other too expensive :)

Daylami are great, never said they were not. But I'd want them regular :)

    Corregidor:
Gecko: add a corregidor only profile with dual LSG (or BSG) and D-charges to exaggerate their lore of "break and enter" troops.
Also, a Bounty L1 profile could be very very funny.
Hellcat: give them some better profile for corregidor and/or change the superior combat jump rule. Maybe if it was the only skill that could allow deployment without rolls (just like this season rule) and/or allow coordinated "combat jump" without losing the other orders.
Carlotta: give her a corregidor only CoC profile.

Geckos could easily handle a Heavy Shotgun, to be honest.

But Combat Jump without roll is a bad idea. It removes all risk from the skill, turning it into a "I win" button. Also, Season 10 rules doesn't remove the jump roll, just the template.

Ok, troops I’d change (I’ll only talk about armies I play)

    - First, I’d change the crits so that it allows an armor roll. Ignore ARM and cover (so it’s different than K1) and allow a pure ARM roll, si you’d need a 16+ to save a HMG crit. Way less frustrating IMO.

    Yu Jing :

    - Pheasant : give the CoC guy a SMG and a shock CCW without stun grenade and make him 24-25 points. He’ll be played without being an auto include.

    - Zhanshi : make him 10 points. We all know he’s not worth 11.

    - Bao : he’s too expensive for what he brings, although I understand with his skills/equipment why he’s costed the way he is. Also WIP 14 and BTS 6 without a hacking device is kind of sad ;)

    Nomads :

    - Reverend custodier : white noise/cybermask turning off ODD makes her really unefficient. A slight point drop could be useful too .

    - Reverend healer : EXP CCW makes her way too expensive, and 4-2 makes her way too slow to go and grab objectives.

    - Reverend moiras (see a pattern here ?) : 4-2 and no shock immunity makes her way overcosted. I really have a hard time with 30+ 1W models, they have to bring something very desirable, and apart maybe for the mini I don’t see anything really desirable in the 3 reverend profiles sadly.

    Tohaa :

    - Kaeltar : give CoC to symbiobomb profile, and make it the same price as the symbiomate one (without reducing the mate’s point cost). Make symbiobomb disposable (2) at least.

    - Kosuil : make it 1 point cheaper.

    - Sukeul : make it 2 points more expensive.

Extra 4th : Gorgos : give it STR and the possibility for the pilot to return in « TAG state » if she goes out to grab an objective (making the gorgos a specialist himself could be a solution, but too powerful IMO)

    Bonus : « I don’t play them but I’ll give mon opinion anyway »

Pano : Givet hem another KHD, make trauma doc and machinist WIP 13 (even if it means being 1 point more expensive) and make bolt slightly less expensive.

    Ariadna :

Limit the number of camo token. When you have 15+ token on the table it’s not funny to face, and I’m not sure it’s funny to play passed the « Mouahahaha I have token everywhere » phase. Do something for their HI, as most of them seem pretty useless to me.

    Haqqislam :

Ghazi, of course. Way way undercosted. WIP 14 without smoke at 8 points seems more reasonnable. Also fatality lvl 2 on a B4 weapon, or in TS seems overpowered as hell. Buff their HI as they don't bring enough on the table.

    CA :

Give them a SWC free good lieutenant.

    Aleph :

    Post human nerf. Nuff said.

The way HB is structured is like Infinity Faction Design 101. The AVA4 Ghulams... The restrictions on Bots... HB is specifically built with a limited pool of Regular Orders, specifically to stop Fidays, Mutts and Daylami from doing the kind of thing being described. Once you max your AVA on Ghulams and REMs, the cost of Regular Orders starts climbing steeply. This is specifically because CB doesn't want someone spending 10 Orders on a Fiday, then another 10 Orders on another Fiday. It's an example of why some of HB's best, cheapest offerings are all Irregular. Those Regular Orders are designed as a precious commodity, because HB guarantees you can spend all of them inside the enemy DZ on Turn 1 if you really want to.

USAr's got some of that going on, but grunts are limited by SWC and their efficacy falls off dramatically if they miss their Infiltration roll (unlike a panzerfaust Daylami, who can end up back in his own DZ but still play a big role in the game.) Van Zant is easier to guard against than a Fiday too... He still needs to find a place to walk on first, and there's only one of him to break the rules of standard deployment, unlike the 3 possible Impersonators in HB.

Chiming in on the broader topic, limiting it to Sectorials I play so that this post doesn't run on for days:

    Acontecimento:
    • Kirpal Singh of course. Love his background, love his miniature and identity, but he's trying to do too many things at once and it shows up in his cost. A decent wielder of an E/M CCW? Fantastic. But that's about all he has going for him. The Assault Pistol is showing its age when he already has a Burst 3 Combi, and Chain of Command on him just inflates his cost far too much. The Assault Pistol is sculpted on the mini so I acknowledge it has to stay, but making Chain of Command an optional profile sure sounds good to me. Drop Bears sure would be nice, but I worry that Spector beat him to it. Maybe double down on the E/M theme that Akalis display but never quite solidify, and give him E/Maulers. He's also a perfect candidate for NCO.
    • Stephen Rao. Sadly he's also stuck with his sculpted Assault Pistol. He remains a thematically good candidate for Chain of Commad, if CB can reconcile it with their conscious of giving PanO a CoC option that doesn't have strings attached. Bagh Mari are already in a great place right now, and Rao is always going to be useful as a 6th linkable body for them, so it makes sense to elaborate on his leadership capability to make him worth running as an obvious LT.
    NeoTerra:
    • If I could run a Bolt Spitfire Haris, and an Aquila HMG LT, I'd be so pleased. That's the vision.
    • Bolts. This season helps them. It's a really good start. I'd love a Haris option that includes Drop Bears, letting you take an SWC weapon and either a second Drop Bear lobber or a Specialist. There's potential there. They would pair very naturally with...
    • Aquila. Specifically an Aquila HMG LT. Right now, the incentive to take an Aquila over a Swiss is close to null. The Swiss brings more for less than 1 Regular Order's worth of cost. However, if the Aquila is incentivized as a leader, and given an adequately beefy HMG LT profile, you increase the appeal of both the Aquila and the Veteran Bolts who could support him. There's a plethora of skills that would suit the Aquila LT now... LT L2, Advanced Command, Strategos L1, etc. that are all completely fitting. Giving the Aquila enhanced Order efficiency really sets him apart from the Swiss.
    JSA:
    • Ryuken-9. Nope, leave the SMG profile alone... Hard to improve upon perfection. But what about that Heavy Rocket profile? I haven't seen a single player use it since the new release, unless they're cobbling together a list from the starter box alone. The Limited Camo profile has some application, but SWC for JSA is a highly precious commodity now. They still need their heavy weapons, but now there are Haris options to pay for, Kempetai Marksman and Ryuken-9 Minelayers to buy, and both the TR bot and Rui Shi got price increases. Dumping 1.5 SWC until a mediocre long-range support unit probably isn't going to happen. But what if he got ODD and two heavy pistols? Yes, paying the corresponding price increase. But if I could get a high-quality ODD gunfighter with good long and short-range heavy weapons, I'd give this profile some serious consideration. If ODD is too intimidating, just add Mimetism... Or Forward Deployment L2. The former would enhance the extremely modest gunfighting capability. The latter would open up shell games with the SMG profile. An HRL also gets a lot more valuable when it's able to attack from upfield, using unexpected angles. Everyone expects heavy weapon fire coming from the enemy DZ, but not everyone expects it to come from midfield. And really, I'd just like a reason to stop relying on Keisotsu as the only big-gun trigger pullers that slot easily into a JSA list.
    • Kuroshi Rider. Yes, Dogged Specialist, that's well and good, but I find myself reaching for the cheaper Ninja KHD or Aragoto KHD to buy myself another Order with those saved points. Give her Duo. Letting her drag around an Aragoto Spitfire or shotgun is great for both Kuroshi Rider and Aragoto, and thematically fitting for her role as a leader. TAK has set the precedent, already has the distinction of being able to dismount for cover, and also snagged minelaunchers too.
    MRRF:

    • 112. I know this ship has sailed, but 112 would have been great linked with Metros. MRRF are first responders, humanitarian aid providers as well as being a combat force. Embedding a firefighter Doctor into their milita would have made perfect sense.
    • Metros. If any line troopers in the game should have received light shotguns as an armament option, it's these guys. Suddenly the inferior infiltration profile has relevance, and their appalling BS10 wouldn't feel quite so bad. Let the Scots have their Chain Rifles, I get that, but their Volunteers shouldn't have a monopoly on shotguns also.

    PanOceania:

    1) Teutons. They are pretty bad. Imagine if they had bikes though
    2) Sepulchres. They are slightly overcosted for what they do
    3) Uhlans. I can't quite put my finger of it but they just don't seem appealing

    Ariadna:

    1) Sniper Spetsnaz. The way he's priced right now there is 0 reason to take him over the HMG. Reduce by 1swc and then maybe
    2) Minutemen. They do nothing that either grunts or marauders can't already cover. They desperately need something to make them stand out
    3) Kuryers. They do mul things and a bit more, but why not just make more mul profiles?

    Nomads:

    1) Spektrs. Good but pricey, wish they were more in line with Touaregs
    2) Iguana. Ejection system should prevent leftover wounds. This would take iguanas up a notch, even if it came with a higher price tag
    3) Carlota. There is very little incentive to take her over a regular tomcat. She should be cheaper

    Combined Army:

    1) Vanguards. 1 point off and they become okay, 2 and they are amazing
    2) Autocannon Kurgat. Why not let him haris? he is laughably bad
    3) Raktorak. Should have wildcard.

    Tohaa:

    1) Kaeltar Specialists. Symbiomates need a change big time
    2) Rasail Boarding Team. 3 wounds? really?
    3) Symbiont armor in general, can I say that? needs fire vulnerability back

    Aleph:

    1) Asuras. They should get a cost reduction, new profiles are nice but 3-4 points off would go a long way
    2) Posthumans. Plz nerf
    3) Penthesilea. I can't understand why she's so pricey, never seen her last past turn 1

I was interested about the statistics, so I've gathered them in one place. Around 30 posters' opinions here, of course not everyone posted a full list of changes:

Ejection systems are in a weird place. Overall I'm a huge fan of the pilot changes but it has meant that the Iggy and Anaconda have been left behind.

I'm don't mind your change but I'd probably just push the Operators to BS 13. Because that's what I find: the thing I use an Operator for is staying alive not actually using it's gun where they're just lackluster.

Compare Annie to the Geckos and how much more you get for less.

I actually massively rate the Kuroshi Rider, tbh. A friend of mine uses her as a late game objective grabber and she's really good at it. Once you've lost loads of heavy weapons and such, taking down such a fast specialist with Dogged before she can push a button is actually pretty tricky!

Anyway I'd change Lasiqs to include a Haris Option or something. Just something to make them fireteamable that isn't a max four-man core team with no specialists and two weapon options. It's just not hugely appealing. Solo Lasiqs are really good but I have never seen anyone ever use that core. Not even once!
