I just had to rage about the destruction of my securitate!! Wip14 Repeater Hacker 6S Shotty It was a swissarmy knife. I could have them up front making the opponent choosing between a pile of ARO options that are all bad. I could have one Securitate hacker in the back with my Interventor as backup and anti-stealth against my most common opponents YuJing. They were just a bit pricey. I feel better now Now, back to my AWESOME NEW TOYS!
10points difference is huge. I like the new Securitate stats better because now I do not have to keep them in a 5-man fireteam to save them from LoL or retreat and I nearly get 2 ordees for approximately the same points
I've been finding it interesting how many people are all of a sudden upset about the changes to Securitate when they used to gripe about the damn things.
A heavy weapon that was also a repeater was useful but I definitely think that overall Securitate are waaaaaay stronger now.
Well yeah they went from sometimes oddly useful to ranking with Fusilier. If it weren't for Jaguars they would be seen in every Nomads list outside of LI.
Securitate having Sixth Sense L2 and a Repeater on all profiles was pretty characterful, but also pretty damn expensive. Then making them Fireteam Core more or less made 6SL2 redundant. I think I really miss the 6SL2 HMG, though.
I was never that guy. Old forums are searchable (same name and avatar pic since N2). I always found them useful in crazy ways.
I understand the new ones are balanced and are fitting line troops for Tunguska. I miss Wip14 hackers with repeaters, 6S2, and light shotguns. The shenanigans and answers to all manner of situations they presented made one worth the (I agree) too steep price in a high percentage of the games I used them. Could be my meta, maybe I am some kind of prodigy (uuuunlikely), but they worked. Needing a fireteam(barf) to get that 6S2 again makes them MORE expensive than they were for a similar purpose, and being able to take two and ninja around AROs by having them hack through eachother cant be done anymore. AAAANYWHOO...I am pretty much over it now, lol. Been playing with the new toys and loving the Tunguska themed vanilla lists.
