    Hello everyone,
I'm newer to the ITS scene and looking for advice and suggestions for list building. I want to stick with Corregidor for tournaments but whenever I'm in the list builder I almost always end up just building Jaguars+Intruders with whatever else I can cram in or Hellcat spam. Does anyone else find themselves doing this or are there other viable options I'm missing for this sectoral? Any guidance or help would be greatly appreciated.

There are a lot of ways to play Corregidor. Are you using Jaguar Core? I've only tried them a bit.

I typically pick one new thing to try and build whatever I'm most comfortable with around it, rather than try to make a whole new thing.

    I like Wildcat cores

I know Loricus has made a Wildcat core and Iguana work which is pretty cool.

I usually run jaguars with the intruder lists and alguaciles or wildcats with the hellcat lists. Other than those two options im usually at a loss trying to build various lists and end up just cramming things in with those. =/

Geckos look a lot of fun, either individually or as a Duo, they play more like an HI but bring 3 STR and a pop out specialist.

If you really want to push your skills as a player you could try the Brigada pain train! There's a good argument to be made that StarCo does it better though.

Sectorials often feel a little restricted in variety though, that's why vanilla exists.

I love a mobile brigada core with a massacre haris, supported by possibly a bandit and/or sputnik with extras to taste. The list is only 10 orders usually but it feels good to have almost every model be a threat!

There's only so many units in a sectorial. Try forcing a Gecko or Tsyklon in and see what it displaces. Or use more Intruder Combis, maybe Hacker, now that they have FD1.

I intentionally design lists to do something I have not tried before.

"Hmm... I wonder what would happen if I only fielded MI?"

"Hmm... what would a good REM spam list look like?"

"Hmm... I rely too much on the Intruder. What could I use instead for dealing with camo?"

"Hmm... what do these Bandit things do?"

I haven't been able to write a decent* REM heavy Corregidor list. Vanilla REMs is great, Bakunin is workable, Tunguska is probably solid (albeit I don't think it's its strength) but Corregidor just doesn't scream "REMs" to me.

Other than that though, I mainly play them around a Wildcat or Jaguar core. I'll probably also try 2 Hellcat + Tomcat and Alg Core in ITSX... mainly because I'll suspect I'll play less StarCo this season (where my go to is Alg core).

    * For values of decent that equal "one I'd prefer taking over a differently focussed list".

I actually find Jag Core to be a bit of a waste. I use a Jag Haris at best and I push them forward! Panzerfaust Jags can remain unlinked.

My two styles of Corregidor are Wildcat Core + Hellcat and Tsyklon (and Jag Haris) or Intruder + Geckos, with linked Alguaciles and some unlinked Jags for smoke.

Try all the models with Zero-Gee (or multiterrain). It's a Nomad boarding party!

Hellcats, Tomcats, Wildcats, Intruders, Geckos, Bandits, Maasai. You probably will want 2 Intruders for counter-camo work. 2 Geckos for Distraction TAGs.

Corregidor's primary problem is that its links just aren't super enticing. They're fairly dated at this point and mostly built on the idea that links themselves are a big enough draw. The best thing is likely the Intruder and he gets all the support he could want in Vanilla. It's a fun sectorial, but as you've experienced, tends to feel limited. Any CJC list feels a little better to me if I sprinkle in an Interventor and some Zeros/Morlocks for a bit of spice. Alternatively, adding the models to switch over to StarCo feels like a more modern implementation of the CJC design. It's still fun to break out McMurrough though and really the problems have more to do with simplicity than power. Give Vanilla or StarCo a try for a bit, see the differences, and you'll probably find yourself wandering back to try out some new ideas with a fresh perspective.

Any Vanilla list feels a little better to me if I throw in a Core for a bit of spice.
