Hello everyone, I didn't find any answer on the forum for this, sorry if I missed it. I have question about timing: 1) For tactics the rules said: "If both players want to play Tactics, the Underdog chooses who does so first." For exemple Aristo A attack B, I am the underdog and I let my opponent play his tactics, do we atlernat (He plays one, I play one, he plays one...) or does the the opponent need to play all his cards and after I play my cards? 2) For the switches, I have kind of the same question: Do I need to play all my Switches if I go first or we alternat? the rules said: "Both players, in turn, may activate Switches using the Symbols they rolled. The Active Player decides which player gets to activate Switches first." Thanks a lot
1) Underdog is applied only when both players want to play a Tactic at same time (which is far to happen usually). The way this works is: Player One declares an Attack. If all requirements are met, both Players prepare their dice and... Tactics Step. Both players may play Tactics, as many as they want (if they fullfil the Timing, of course). In the order they want. And if only in case they want to play at same time, Underdog decides which Player plays first. So, if there's no "Timing collision" between Players, the way of playing Tactics should be Poker style: - I play Take Aim (to add an Orange). - Ok, then I play Dodge. - Oh, so you've played Dodge... Let's rise the stakes with a Focus... And, oh, plus this Snake Bite! - NO! - NO! to your NO! - Ok... (thinking)... I pass. - Well, in this case... Dodge. - Still passing. - ...And another Focus. Let's Roll! - Let's Roll! 2) In this case Active Player decides which Player gets to Activate all of their Switches first (whatever they want if possible)
This is very important and often misunderstood. Again it is the Active Player that decides who will activate all their switches first - not necessarily the Underdog.
I have two questions about this way of playing Tactics: 1) Who starts with playing the first card? The attacker? or the Underdog? 2) What's happen if one player passes? Can he plays another card later or not? Example: A: "I don't play any cards and passing!" B: "Ok, I play then Lunah's Snake Bite!" A: "Oh, in this case I play a NO!" Can or can't A plays the "NO!"?
1) Whoever. But, if both Players want to wait to the other for playing first, then, Underdog will have to decide. 2) A can play any card as the Tactics Step finishes only if both Players agree to pass and Roll.
