I am probably not the only one who follows the Lonely Artichoke blog, so today I was saddened to see this new post from our beloved Commander Dasaan (@Magonus for those who joined the Way of the Three only on these forums). It's sad to see you go, comrade, but eventually we all grow tired of war. Know that you are always welcome here and you helped many of us to hone their tactical prowess. Come on, everyone! Let's make our Commander's retirement really worthful!
It's ok we have Nomads, designer are crazy about them so it's a good thing :D Where's that choir of people saying that he made good decision as apparently his expectations/vision was not up to what CB has in mind ? (anyone who reads that without tons of sarcasm, comics sans is plain stupid) (sad to see Dasaan go, I always found his ideas about unit/equipment really interesting and internally integral)
You can find me on Steam, where my name is currently "Skyking" in honor of Richard Russell. But I am done with wargames. End of an era, for me.
I always enjoyed reading your take on the Tohaa. Your posts are what got a friend of mine to start with Tohaa. You'll be missed.
Thats a shame. That said when you make a satirical post about the lack of support you see, and it turns out that the satire of the lack of support actually over estimates (or wasn't pessimistic enough, half full/half empty and all that) what the company is up to, I fully understand why you might want to walk away. Hopefully he will return one day. Edit: I am loath to say devs should pay attention when people proclaim they are leaving, but in this case I hope CB pays attention. If one of the true positive pillars of the online commmunity is done, maybe its time to look at some things. Would love to know what did it for him.
I am very sad to see you go, you were the reason I started Tohaa, and your blog has been a good help and a great read. In my mind you were a pillar of the Tohaa community, but the reason for leaving is more than understandable. I wish you the best in your future ventures.
Oh no... Your blog inspired me to start tohaa! To even start with infinity. I was searching for more infinity blogs, but yours was always the best. Does the ungoing disappointments for tohaa players have anything to do with your decision?
Mag, thank you for the advice, and your contribution to the game, by way of your blog. I, along with many others, hope this is something of a phase, and that you will return to us.
Farewell @Magonus. If I get the funds or better yet a deal on a Tohaa lot, I'll dedicate my force to you. Long live the Artichokes!! May 2019 prove to be worth the long wait!!
@Magonus maybe not sell those Tohaa, you know, sentimental value, and the possibility of getting back into the game.
Would also suggest keeping the Tohaa - today's certainty will be next year's regret. God knows I've been there before. I've been out of the loop, whats the reason for Magonus dropping Infinity, Tohaa, and Wargames in general?
Sad to hear you're leaving. Your commitment to tohaa and the game in general, especially with your blog, was huge and inspiring. I wish you the best. Ps : and i also strongly advise you to keep your tohaa...
