I play NCA and was wondering what would be good list to take for biotechore and what roll will each unit play in the game?
I've heard some people suggest a Bolt Link team with an ORC Haris. You'll inevitably be fighting in relatively close quarters, where the Bolts shine. Having the two links helps with order efficiency to get your units out of the Biotechvore zone. Possibly something like this? This is actually a time when I really like Swiss and max AVA on Hexas. Hidden Deployment + TO Camo gives you a lot of control in Biotechvore, and being able to ambush advancing enemies with Hexa Sniper or Swiss Missile or both is great. Swiss Missile also has the added benefit of the light shotgun, which is a pretty fearsome opponent for your enemy to be locked into a Killbox with. The Swiss Hacker is nice here too... Gotta watch out for those KHDs, but the MULTI Rifle is a great weapon for Turn 2 and Turn 3. Something like this, which still leaves a pile of points and SWC left for Fusilier link, expendable Fugazi for Flash Pulse and Orders, etc. Swiss Miss interchangeable with the Swiss Hacker here. Slow speed shouldn't be a problem if you're shooting and killing every order. I would suggest moving the ORC Haris first to take out any dangerous AROs with the HMG, and then move in with the Bolts to throw some mines.
I don't know, if this is would work, but I like the idea. You can play a bit with the points. Like swap the locust for drop bear dude, then swap the BS Orc for a MULTI rifle one, so you have better range coverage. Anything with a G-Sync is going to be a tough ask in this mission, because they aren't in a fireteam and they can't be coordinated. However it is, ultimately, largely a "points exchange" mission and bringing things back up can be invaluable. Piece trading up is the strongest strategy here, but we are terrible at it. Fugazi are good because with 6-6 they can get out of the zone with just their own order. Either the Bolt or the Fusilier Fireteam Core are good (I suggest considering Bipandra if you go Fusiliers here) for order efficiency. The ORC Haris is nearly essential, with the HMG and either a Multi Rifle, Multi w Deflector or the Assault Hacker (but that might just be too vulnerable to be useful). Thanks to Duo the CSU is also awesome (plus, their mix of short and medium range combat capability is excellent for the mission) and should probably appear every time. Last but not least Hidden Deployment is pure gold, because it reduces the number of units you have to pull out in Turn 1 while also providing the opportunity to engage with some good combat units in Turn 2 after the enemy has moved into the midfield. Also, remember that a 2-wound HI will never be instantly killed by the zone, so it can sometimes be worth risking a hit against solid BTS if you are getting something out of it. Just don't leave anything there all game, because no matter their BTS or Wounds they count as dead at the end of the game.
Hello, I have played with this severals times and it was always funny. At most if you go first. You can choose a Bolt as Lieutenant, but then you can't to leave him behind, and the squalo can resist one turn inside the bio-area without many worries. You will need at least two orders to put away the core and other for the other four in coordinate and three more, one for every one. So, we need 6 orders in total (I am supposing that our rival waste one token to prevent us to expend more than one token in our first turn. That lef us with threee orders for the squalo+Lieutenant. With these orders he probably could clean the save path to the others troups. The hexa can wait if neccesary. If we go in second place the squalo should protect us in ARO. If he dies we still have orders to the others guays thanks to the six bolt veterans+irregular ones. I'd drop the AHD as it is expensive, not really useful, ORCs are bad at hacking, and you already have the Squalo and the ORC HMG to deal with big and scary stuff. I'd swap the squalo for the HGL version, making a fusi the LT. That HGL may give your opponent more things to think about while trying to get out of the zone, and may have some lucky spec. fires to actually take something squishy out.
