What can we expect from Vedic

Main problem is that our units have poor CC, meaning the whole "use D-Charge in melee" would be a poor choice - but Marut would be even worse. AP+EXP with CC13 is still better than normal, single PH15 attack with CC18. The best one for that mission would be Andromeda with D-Charges :'(

 

There is also problem of delivery. With no smoke and only with andromeda closer to the objective, it can be hard to reach it.

 

Assuming the mission stays the same in ITS 10 of course.

 

Hmm... apart from the listed options, it looks like OperationS only alternative would be an order-intensive and prone-to-fail one of getting Forward Deploying/Infiltrating Forward Observers/Hackers (Mk2, Mk5, Dasyus, Nagas) to a Panoply, opting for D-Charges, and making a run for it. But if your opponent knows that's your only option, they could try to lock down the panoplies/routes from them to the AC2. And there's more moving parts and points of failure in that than 'get a melee troop, throw it at the thing,' even though only Achilles v2, Diomodes, or a generic Ekdromos has anything that can start them closer than the normal deployment line.

 

The sophotech is a choice for that, 15/10 mvt, NWI and D-Charges could be good, but CC13 is just average.

 

I think if you just allowed electric pulse to count against them as well it would make the mission much better for everyone. Think R2 zapping a port and nuking the computer

 

Wrong genre. R2 is Fantasy, not SCi-FI :P

 

Loot and Sabotage is a...clunky mission already. Its fun but some factions just do noticeably better than others simply due to unit selection. I could see it either being changed or removed. Otherwise OSS will have a hard time. I believe NCA has a tough time as well.

Do you guys think that in OSS the AVA of Post-humans will increase beyond 1? Personally I hope not - would be way too strong.

 

Probably not, just like the puppets are ava 1 for both vanilla and sectorial in nomads

 

If anything I'd expect Posthumans to get more expensive in November. Somewhere around 3-5 pts per Proxy.

 

Sadly, I agree. It will change nothing except reduce Aleph Order pools and how often Aleph players take Dasyus and other higher-priced troopers.

My preferred solution to Posthumans would be simple and limited: errata that they cannot be held in Reserve, any of them.

 

But hopefully nwi and msv 3 goes down in cost.

Did I miss something that now everyone is sure posthumans will be in Vedic? I was still thinking they might be vanilla exclusive. Otherwise I‘d be way more hyped

 

I can't remember if it has been said explicitly, but #1 there are other post humans in the sectorial (Dart) and #2 one of the BoW giveaways was the proxy mk2 box (hosts 4 and 5)

 

Personally I dont think this says anything. If you held up the box and asked them which army this belongs too, I think most of them (Killian exemt) would guess Necrons
