Carlos said at the beginning of the year, Tohaa would not be receiving anything this year, and unfortunately I think it best we take him at his word. Waiting for new minis can be difficult, but I used to play Sisters of Battle, so a year do not seem like such a long time to me. I just hope they are ready to hit the ground running in the new year.

What I meant is that, as we know that the Sectorial will be released next year, what we ask for this year is just models for existing profiles.
Also, releasing some models for existing profiles needs much less work from the Design department.

They are full blown symbiont armors, and fluff wise Tohaa doesn't like technology, they solve everything with pheromone farts and exalted slave species.

Ectros and Gorgos were both created in the "old batch", where CB still adhered a bit to rules (like MSV2 comes on an MI, 2W is HI 3STR is TAG (Gorgos has W not STR)). Then they released Rasail as an LI which has 2+1 W, Sukeul as an LI, which has loads of special skills (usually that amount comes on an MI) and gone batshit crazy overall the faction. Old troops like Sakiel and Gao-rael seems sensible to new ones like Kaeltar and Sukeul.

In my opinion Tohaa has hackable as a legacy feature on Ectros and Gorgos, because in Infinity HI and TAGs are hackable, even though it could be ignored for Tohaa, and Ariadna exists (mostly their pseudo HIs are non-hackable, then there's Veteran Kazak, the full blown powerhouse HI, which is hackable for no reason, because of plot armor). Hacking is also a weak after thought in Tohaa, I'm still not sure if Aelis is worth 30pts, and I don't even understand what's the point in WHD and DHD, or what's the difference between them.

Overall the prices of hacking devices should be reconsidered, mostly because KHD is way to cheap for what it does. Imo AHD and HD are just ridiculosuly expensive (0.5SWC + 6 and 8 pts respectively), WHD is garbage and expensive for 0.5SWC and 4 pts (you get a doctor or engineer skill for 4 pts). It really should be SWC free an should come for 1-2 pts, as it only unlocks the hacker requirements in missions and doesn't do anything useful. Just be cheaper than a KHD that redefined the hacking meta.

Only reason for WHD on Kamaels is to fulfill some classified objectives, and paying 0.5SWC for that is a lot imo.

Oh and I also don't understand why people are saying Tohaa has surplus SWC because K1 and Viral combi is SWC free and they are already heavy weapon grade stuff (I agree with the later). You start any reasonable list building with 2 Kaeltars, so you are starting on 5. But at least you don't have to spend SWC on hackers.

I will have to disagree on the point about our HI and TAG:

In general, yes, I agree, the discount for being hackable should be more noticeable. But it is obnoxious that the game sets aside so much real estate to the hacking game, and 3 factions in particular (Tohaa, Ariadna, and Haqqislam) can get away without partaking in the hacking game.

So I think more things in Infinity should be hackable. I think the Spotlight should work in ARO, and the Targeted state should persist until Reset. I think Forward Observers should be hackable (Spotlight, Oblivion, Blackout). I think EVO should be more powerful, or cheaper, or both. I think TAGs should not be such a liability, and if they can be hacknerfed, they should also be hackbuffed, in some way (not Assisted Fire, but Fairy Dust, or something). As it stands, hacking is like a "technogun" that you pay +8 points and SWC for, that can only target other units with the "technogun." Not having access to that "techogun" is not a vulnerability, since you are not vulnerable to field it.

Unsurprisingly, Haqqislam, Ariadna, and Tohaa regularly top the power charts.

I will have to disagree on that point with you too :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Tohaa can't play these Hacking games, why should then our HI and TAG be hackable? We have nearly nothing to protect these units. Don't get me wrong, Keesan is an excellent unit, but our unavailable repeater are a big problem.
Tohaa is only on top, cause the most lists don't contain these units.

We have Nullifiers, superior Wounds, very high BTS, and superior responses to tactical pickles in general. PanO meanwhile has to shoot their way out of every problem, and to a degree Combined Army and Yu Jing, as well.

    What's very high in 3?

I never used nullifiers, they seem cumbersome to use as anti hacking tool.

I agree with Non-hackable is annoying and Kazaks need to be beaten to the death with nerfbat. And whole Ariadna. Like ded.

Read the fluff again bro. Tohaa aren’t tyranids. The symbionts have nonbiological components to make them armour systems. Tohaa technology is integrated biological and nonbiological components.

The solution to Ariadna (barring deletion) is to make their “HI” MI. Then they won’t need all their “MI but technically HI” special rules. This won’t happen because Mary Sue.

BTS is not common on Infiltrators or Warbands. It is reasonably common on LI, but not very common. BTS3 is standard on HI, our Ectros is BTS6. There are fewer than a dozen BTS9 troops in Infinity, and 2 of them are in Tohaa. Considering we have the smallest selection, that is significant.

If not "the higest," we are roughly peer to ALEPH and Nomads BTS.

Depends. I use them in OCF for that.

They also counter Jammers, which can be useful, and they're a great way to screw with your opponent's efforts to Forward Observe or Spotlight your HVT (or your troops, for that matter) for a classified.

Since Tohaa has already profiles with Pheroware tactics fixed to them (Kaauri with Nimbus) I would like to see some profiles like that.
Sakiel with First Aid instead of Paramedic? Taqeul with Pandemonium? Igao with Eraser... uuuu I would like that Jammer-like option :)

the pheroware tactics on other profiles is a very cool idea, but..

Leave Sakiel Paramedic please, pheroware tactics does not count as "specialist troop" hehehe

then there would be nearly no need of the Kumotail. And yes, i know he has engineer and doctor, but if i want an engineer, I'll take the Kosuil due to his symbiont armor and the K1 or Panzerfaust.
