New Mercenary Units or Characters we'd like to see

Magna Obra as a new NA2 army to put the capital(ist) E in evil.

Lets show the Sphere how a real bad guy looks like to stop the kindergarden around the Uprising affair.

 

I would like to see mercenary infiltration skirmishers. I think that is the part that is still missing. Not just ninjas, but something cheaper like a Foxtrot or Zero.

Character-wise, I would like to see Hannibal from Aristeia! included as a merc character, maybe with strategos or inspiring leadership.

I would like to see a more neutral, more generic mercenary company as an option for NA2. Just Brawlers, Kaplans, Anacondas, etc. No one particularly evil or heroic. Something to represent the many mercenary companies that must exist in the Human Sphere.

Would Kum Enforcers make plausible mercs background-wise?

I second the idea of a merc dog warrior. It surprised me that this was not included given that there is an outrage character with a mini for that.

 

There is a Mercenary Dogwarrior. He is one of the oldest mercs of the game and works for Corregidor!

 

I am obviously aware of that. We are thinking more of a generic one. McMurrough is already in two sectorials, he cannot stretch out too much.

 

I'd like to see a Merc HI unit. Cheap and basic and no frills - ARM 3, BTS 3, etc. Give them heavy weapons and heavy flamethrowers - maybe a heavy shotgun / SMG option for the 'cheap' one :)

Right there with ya, Brawlers, Druze, etc,. are awesome "neutral" factions that I'd like to see more of in game.

 

Two characters that the RPG book mentions that haven't been shown in Infinity model or rule wise are Ljubo "Ballistic" Radan & Ylenia Petronescu. As for possible sectorials there are three mentioned in the book; the Foreign Company, the Dahshat Company, & the Varangian Guard.

 

Maybe CB is waiting to release those in an Uprising Pt2? I don't even know what's coming for GenCon so it's all up in the air.

 

We know that this year CB is releasing 5 new Sectorial Armies. With JSA released as an Army Box and Tunguska released as an standard Starter Box, for GenCon we'll probably get a Sectorial vs Sectorial box (like the previous Operation:whatever ones).

 

What are the background and skills of these illustrious characters?

 

I'll type out the small paragraph that the book states about them.

Ljubo "Ballistic" Radan:

"Less a bounty hunter than style personified, "Ballistic Radan" has something of a minor celebrity status through the Human Sphere, something which he uses to his advantage, ensuring that his reputation and demeanour do much of his work for him. Not that his isn't extremely deadly as well."

Ylenia Petronescu:

"Cunning, beautiful & trickier than a hacker with an attitude problem, Petronescu has established herself as a premiere bounty huntress. Combining seductiveness with viciousness has ensured that Ylenia is able to live in some style - you don't become a bounty huntress for the hours, do you?"

Personally I don't care for Ylenia but Ljubo could be interesting.

 

Ylenia sounds like a KHD Bounty Hunter! Nice!

And the other guy does pretty much sound like the counter part to Sforca, which could be interesting or end up being pretty much the same.

Both are far better then Ashcroft though! XD

 

Agreed on that. I dislike Ashcroft. How many people actually play her? I think the only reason people will take her in ISS is for the Fireteam:Duo with Bounty Hunters and CB making her a specialist operative.

 

Lots of ISS players use her - ODD a troop cheaper than most of the rest of the roster is definitely useful.

 

I forgot about that part too. Still outside of ISS I don't see her in lists.
