I've recently shown your topic to a friend who recently started Haqqislam and he was drooling over the screen. Would you mind sharing a list of paints you use for your haqqislam miniatures (sorry if it was already asked but I don't think I've seen in on this thread)?
Thanks for the kind words! Here is a basic list: Tan parts: Zandri dust (GW) Nuln oil (GW) Flat white (Vallejo) Skag brown (GW) Dark green: Rhinox hide (GW) Castellan green (GW) Zandri dust (GW) Nuln oil (GW) Flat white (Vallejo) Face plate: Mornefang brown (GW) Uriel yellow (GW) Flat white (Vallejo) Metal parts: Mechanicus standard grey (GW) Nuln oil (GW) Flat white (Vallejo) Bright green: Wahggg flash (GW) Uriel yellow (GW) Flat white (Vallejo) Hope that helps! I plan of doing a step by step for haqq soon.
A step by step of your Haqq would be fantastic! I've been admiring them here and on facebook (I think.. in WGC Infinity?) for a while.
holy crap, from what I can see, your skills are amazing. Unbelievable how much painting skill is assembled in this little forum! Unfortunately I cant look at like 80% of the pictures, they are like tumbnails and when I click them the forum gives me a weird error... anybody experiencing the same problems or knows how to fix them?
Something about "try later"? Yeah, normal. As in "it works randomly" norm. Known issue. But CB fixes never last.
Hakim ready for combat! I don't know what it is about these guys sculpts but I really like them, even if they arnt super fancy or anything.
Well his uniform looks like caind of paded armour so it may be it a medival look to it , in addicion details this time seams to be made deep enught to be easy to paint controary to dome minis that are just to shalow and btw how is this unit workind on the table are they any good ??
Love em as usual. i appreciate the work up you do with the zandri dust on these. The comments above are fully justified. You are probably my favourite painter on this forum and I can't say enough good things. Truly first class.
Fantastic work. Doesn't it drive you a little crazy gluing parts together after they are painted? I tend to find it is very fiddly to do and the paint job gets damaged in the process.
It can certainly be annoying at times, but I'm a stickler for making sure all the books and crannies are painted and it is less annoying than try to get my brush behind arms. Fortunately these days it's uncommon that I have any issues dying the attachment process. I do a lot of test fitting beforehand. As well I only prime the arms then attatch them, I don't paint the arms until they are on the model, that helps prevent damage as wel. On this model I considered putting the rifle arm on, but it got in the way of painting the right hand side of the jacket.
