An interesting thing about TJC is that while Spektrs are their only infiltrators, there's a lot of Forward Deployment L1 - Hecklers, Mary, Tsyklons - plus Spector is a good AD unit. So while it won't be a sectorial primed for midfield domination, it has a bit more deployment flexibility there, as well as the tools for effective area denial. I'm curious how this will play out.

    You didn't read correctly.

Basically it halves the effectiveness of your opponent's Command Token use.

So if your opponent uses their Command Token strategically to limit your Tactical command Token use to one, you can instead use 2. IE you can perform 2 co-ord orders in T1.

I think the faction heavily favours going first and 10-13 order lists

Its a shame no securitate haris to go with a hollow men core, but I think this could be fun. Park the puppet master in a building, or leave the 2nd grenzer from the defensive ARO link next to her as body guard, then just funnel all orders into Hollow men, get puppets mid board to be a pain in the ass, B2 reactive BS 17 Boarding shotguns, or WIP 14 Flash pulses can be a pain in mid field, Id also focus on keeping zond bot alive, send 1 to shadow the Hollow men and 1 to follow the puppets. Stemplar zond can help clear out camo with sniffer and scanner and is a repeater for white noise. I think your focus with this force is good use of terrain, always try to fight from rooftops/from a generally elevated position so ppl cant easily destroy your dead robots. If grenzer link survives it can function as a nice back up haris in emergencies.

    I don't like puppets.
They require lots of space in the rooster and basically provide only 1 order.
You risk playing the first turn with 6 orders, and probably the 3 man link of puppets don't make up for the order lost.

But I like zondnautica very much. A fast warband, with chain rifle and SLGL that splits in a capable infantry and a kamikaze CR bot? Yes please

Puppets + Controler waste onlye 1 space in a Rooster.

According to G:Marionette (unless im an idiot and misread), they only take up one slot, like proxies. Army is just broken.

additionally running a puppet master as a solo cheerleader/DZ guard in multi order pool lists is a nice tool.

Nope. They only take one slot. Army is currently bugged.

This. As Morlock order fuel in a small order group she's ideal.

I tried the master as my "simple" hacker yesterday and counter intelligence is totally worth the extra 2 points over an alguacile. My opponent didn't waste 1 command token to cancel only 1 order and that allowed me to have a very efficient 1st turn. I'll take him again !

Even without being a hacker the 2 other profiles are interesting. I'll wait the minis to try the puppets but I'm convinced with the master

I'm a big fan of mines in DZs. They're perfect anti-AD defence and/or can be used to add ambiguity to your Intruder's deployment.

At Alg/Jag + 4pts/0.5SWC it's just a touch harder to squeeze into the list than the regular one.

The difference is huge though. I've got a bunch of ~13 order lists that want to go first but were a touch order starved doing so.

Hey @Koni, things are getting bad when this happens. Any attempt at damage control now would be better than letting the peat become apathetic.

Nomads have lots of good stuff and don't have lots of other good stuff. Tunguska is pretty far out, but it's balanced. There's nothing in here that's any worse than Kuang Shi, Swiss Guard, Fidays, Oniwaban, Anthematics, Myrmidons, Spetznaz etc etc. They are good but have weaknesses and vulnerabilities. There was a time when no MSV2 by itself would have meant immediate dismissal in the forum's estimation, but these days that's an acceptable weakness. I feel that Nomads are the most fun faction to play but not any more bent than anyone else.

I agree. I do find list building in Tunguska significantly less fun than the other 4 Nomad options though.

Where I think the issues are are largely intra-factional balance. Ironically, I'm beginning to understand PanO's complaints about 'something else that shoots good': Mary Sue is - in a lot of ways - simply a better Custodier / Moira AHD, making already niche vanilla profiles basically useless.

The only weakness i really see now, is the same i had in vanilla, not much LT choices for Tunguska.

Don't get me wrong, HD+ interventor IS a strong LT but i feel like it's often going to be him or a securitate :/

Honestly, Tunguska has the least Lt issues of Nomads. Both Sec and Interventor are extremely good Lts which naturallly fit into pretty much every TJC list.

Compare Bakunin where you either take a Moderator or spend SWC on an Lt. Or Corregidor where the amount of lists that a ruined by the requirement to fit a god-damn Lt in is absurd.

Yeah LT options are very weak in CJC, not great in BJC, and pretty damn strong in TJC. Generic Nomads are now pretty good too, due to the Tunguska additions.

Doesn't this requirement mean you have to bring at least one puppet? Emphasis mine.

The player must place up to three PuppetBots, known as a Troupe, with their Controller.

It's doubtful to me that they intended "up to three" to mean "0-3"
