looking ace mate. so quick question for you. i think i spied some plastice bitz in there. did you by chance cast some parts for conversions? like combi rifles?
Hey guys, thanks for comments and support! @Sangarn Cheers mate, getting this form a hardcore conversion addict as yourself means a lot ;) @zappod @Gera I do use resin cast parts in my conversions but nowadays I don't have enough time to cast it myself so I just have some parts done as a commission job. I use laser cut base toppers made by Zen Terrain, although again some are cut out as a commissions for me (like the drone). @sarf Practice makes the perfect. I wish I could paint as some other forum members but don't worry we'll get there one day ;)
I'm done with this month pledge. And growing army group shot. Seems my Hsien got himself a nice little harem so it's time to add more yang energy to the force.
That freehand on the leg is spectacular dude. I don't think a lot of people know how difficult that is.
ye i do not like Guja pilot model .. not your paint job just model things that would improve your pj is a clener colours well i can write this in polish leater whats i mean and how to improve :)
I'm trying to speed up a bit (not the painting itself but amount of models per month) and here is my first April's pledge model. I've tried a bit more intense orange than on the last Celestial but I think I prefer the previous one more. Yesterday I dusted off my JSA and got owned by a beginner Bahram player and his Al-Djabel who killed half of my army (I had some really bad rolls). I'll stick to YJ for now, as there's no point painting JSA before I learn how to play it...
And another update - second part of April's pledge - Ninja. The miniature was painted on time but I haven't enough time to add base and cover it in varnish. Today I was finally able to finish it.
Very nice painting - the Ninja looks great :) The one thing that doesn't convince me is the string in her Tactical Bow - it looks to thick and uneven. But that's an uneasy thing to do (which is one of the reasons why I always left my LotR bowmens string-less :P ;) ) PozdRawiam / Greetingd
I must admit I've miserably failed my last month painting pledge. In the end one of the painting group members got a shiny new nomad blister. This month I was able to finish my kanren miniature and I still have two MAS resin cars to go. I hope everything will progress as planed.
Great job as always. Man, I wish you were from my part of Poland, so we could playe painted vs painted on weekly basis. Your stuff is godlike.
Thank you very much. @nazroth if you ever find yourself staying in the northern side of our country for longer than two tournament days, feel free to contact me. I'm not a tournament player but I'd love to play against your army. Although mind you, so far I only painted 7 miniatures, so maybe next year would be better :P
Some time ago I started my "Rise of Sygmaa" project where I convert my Tohaa army as a Sygmaa force. It will allow me to use a mixture of newer models from CA and converting some of older artichokes minis as well. I always liked Tohaa miniatures design and as a former Eldar and Dark eldar player you can say I have a soft spot for alien races fighting for their very survival. Still I just find Tohaa as backstabbing bastards and I guess I can feel much more sympathy for those, poor betrayed Sygmaa sociopaths :) Here are my first conversions or my count as models: Umbra legate as Igao, Maakrep as Gao-rael, Upgraded unidrone as Chaksa, Pneumarch as Tohaa delegate, and my Sygmaa light infantry (all name suggestions for that unit are welcomed).
Nice idea :) I started on something similair a while back, but playing Sygmaa as CA, since I already have a Tohaa army. So for instance Makaul instead of Datarutzi. The third light infantri/makaul's head looks a bit odd but it might just be the angle of the photo.
