[EN] "stay logged in" button

I was still logged in this time, ~18 hours since I was here last.

 

still has to log in frequently.

 

Still log in everytime I come here. I also set up multi-factor and it doesn't look like it requires it after.

 

Had to login just now, about 22 hours after the last time I logged in.

 

I'm in the have to log in every time group too. It's at the point I went from being on a couple times a day to now once every few days.

 

Did not have to log in, it's been ~7 hours since the last time I was here.

 

I'm still logging in every time I visit the forum (Firefox 57.0.2 on Windows 10 desktop).

 

I finally had to log in after rebooting my machine.

 

Still logged in, 18 hours after I was here last.

 

Log in now. Last login 12 hours ago.

 

The login lasts a lot, 72h or more.
But of course, only if you don't restart your machine.
So Is perfectly fine for me.
I think that this issue is over

 

I don't remember when I did login last time. A week ago, maybe?
Of course, I shut down the machine several times in between.

The issue seems to be more complex, as demostrated by Abrilete shutting down the computer or times varying so much (every visit, 12 hours, 3 days, 7 days...?).

 

According to Xenforo this is a common issue caused by having mixed urls. The example they give is www.forum.com vs forum.com you should choose one or the other. In case of the CB login you have profile.corvusbelli.com (ITS, warcore, Army) and forum.corvusbelli.com that could be causing the issue at hand as you switch between those two sites the session may get cleared.

It may not be the issue but this was the most common cause of people being logged out when I did some searching on Xenforo's support forum. Second most common cause was a misbehaving plugin.

 

The mixed URLs report I saw were about mixing HTTP and HTTPS. But profile, www, forum... that suggests the system is custom, and not just XF, so it could be something there too.

Other issues you can find by searching is extensions getting in the way (people should disable them and try), incognito mode (try with normal), IP changing (which can happen, and even more so with things like mobile or CG-NAT... try noting down the IP from one of those "what is my IP") and server side issues like bad config or full memcaches.

Remote debugging is hard... well, it's just guessing.

 

Had to login again, but I did restart the computer since the last time I was here. Also been nearly 30 hours since I was here last!

 

Had to login 1 hour ago and another one now.

And again again. It seem every time i restart firefox
