    hi Guys and gals.

Suppose a unit of mutts throw smoke and the smoke covers my position, in the case covers my Su Jian, can my su jian declares a dodge to avoid the smoke area?

If any template declared by an Active Trooper touches your Reactive Trooper, you have the chance to declare a Dodge ARO. If you didn't have LoF on the activated trooper, this Dodge should be at PH-3. If you did have LoF, then you could have declared an ARO anyways.

    Thanks.

Is that what I was thinking.

But just to be clear: if the 2" move of the dodge wasn't enough to put me outside the smoke template, even dodging I'll still be inside smoke right?

If you are even base to base with a template, you are still affected by it. If you're still touching the smoke template after you Dodge, you are still affected by the Zero Visibility Zone.

Emphasis on 'declared'. Explode etc work differently.
