Thematically Impersonation L2 could be the tag impersonating a vehicle, it worked in the transformers. :) Oh and they could give you a vehicle in the box to be its impersonation marker.
Sure, let's give Hassassins D.va from Overwatch with a special Assault, which leaves pilot in place and launches the TAG to explode in enemies' faces Edit: Though, I doubt giving Islamic faction a Self-Detonating unit is a wise idea..
Well, if we definitely do need a stealthy Hassassin TAG, I'd just have it sport a Holoprojector L2 with Surprise shot L2 (a'la Ayyar), and Stealth on top of it. And it would do.
I don’t know. I feel like a TAG runs counter to the kinds of operations Bahram gets called for. I feel like a TAG -esque profile (see Achilles or a su-Jian for examples) for a smaller fig would be more fitting. Heck, maybe even something that starts at S2 and then turns into a bigger gnarlier profile.
And you certainly have a point, @ambisinister. The problem is - while a Su Jian would be perfect as a TAG-analog in a Hassassin-type army (as it is in Imperial Service), Haqq simply lacks the tech to pull off anything like that. Su Jian is a result of advanced robotics tech and remote presence - way more advanced than Haqq tech, and pretty specialized, so far we don't know anyone else in the Sphere doing that. Aleph does use it, but PanO does not - which may mean Aleph is using YJ tech for their robotic infantry & drop troops (Dakini & Garuda). Nomads, well, seems the Tunguzka has equivalent tech (Hollow Men), but other Nomad factions so far didn't. Apart from that, nope, sorry, no-one else. And for Haqqislam, this is simply not our area of expertise. We'd have to buy it (like we bought the XR-series TAGs for Maghariba Regiment). And I think nobody's going to risk buying that kind of tech for the Bahram.
You raise a fair point about doing it as a robotic unit, I agree that’s a bad fit for Haqq, but I was speaking more conceptually from a bio-tech standpoint;. I suppose Wulvers or Fraacta would be a slightly better analog, but as their transformation is one way, I was speculating something that would allow the player to switch back and forth between two modes, which is why I mentioned the Su Jian. And that very well may be more Ramah than Bahram, and that may even be outside of Haqq’s super soldier Bio tech entirely and could be more of a Bakunin Praxis thing. At any rate I think something in that vein feels more Bahram than a S6 or S7 mech suit. Even if it doesn’t transform. Though I guess as that point we’re starting to step on the toes of Tarik and the Khawarij. It’s an interesting design conundrum to look at for a sectorial like Bahram.
Well, so far we haven't been shown being able to make artificial creatures in Haqq. We can certainly make upgrades to existing lifeforms, but I'm not sure if making one from scratch would be morally/philosophically acceptable for Haqqislam. And it would have to be really outstanding to warran a TAG-analog.Not to mention I believe a creature so big woyuld be pretty difficult to maintain and deploy. Note - I'm looking at the problem of "a Hassassin TAG" with the perspective of having a big, flashy, centerpiece model for the sectorial. And so fat it seems that, with the existing design limitations, it simply doesn't work for the Bahram...
To continue with the "Transformers" analogies, why could one not consider a "Combiner Unit". . . Tiny Tinbot-Shaped mini units (like the Helpers for Paramedic Docs and Field-Engineers) get on the Battlefield each "G-Synch Slaved" to an Hashashin Operative, to be more easily "Pilfered Stealthily" behind Enemy lines. . . Once Target Area / Enemy Personnel is reached the "Tiny Manikins" will Join Together and form a "Wall Breacher Unit" that will also act as "Mobile Shield" for Human Operatives of the Bahram. . . To act as a "Tactical Armoured Gear" Unit will need AT LEAST 5 "Micro-Units" (One the head, one for the Torso, and 4 for the Limbs of an Humanoid "Macro-Unit"), but some good potential could be obtained with JUST three forming a Superheavy Infantry Suit styled after Ahl-Fassed or Azrails set of Rules and Stats. . . Logically a similar Unit would NOT toting around big Heavy Machineguns and their Ammo-Belts Boxes, but if ANY "Micro Unit" is armed with a Small "Hand Flamer" and "Fuel Bottle" then those could "Combine" into a Big Heavy Flamethrower with Multiple Nozzles and the Fuel poured on in a single "Big Napalm Tank"; Fire-Based Weaponry would also be sensate for a "Door Knocking Unit" that will draw enemy fire as any good "Shocktrooper Unit" need to do, while Stealth T.O. Ca As soon as the "Wetworks" Black-Operation is successfully done (or failed, and an hasty extraction is needed for all SURVIVING Assetts) the "Big Bot" (that need a "Designated Controller" for each Turn) then "Dismantle" and each go away with its Handler (maybe a Fiday that "Holo-Mask" as a Janitor and its trusty "Mobile Vacuum Unit", or an Unmasked Govad that whistle away carrying its "Micro-Bot" into a dirty laundry cart !!). . . Just an idea that could be too little Far Fetched for Haqqislam Tech Level but they YET build propietary "Tinbot Helpers" on Bourak so try to "Combine Them Together" could not be so weird to concoct for dedicated Hashashin Researchers. . .. . !!!
I think something like the speratist cleaner droids in clone wars could work: Unarmed in impersination mode, more of an s6 rem then a tag
